Can someone explain the melts?

Lots of melts coming from A&M and LSU fans.
What happened?
Best I can tell is A&M has a good recruiting rating like always but have come to the realization that they’ll still lose to MSU and not come close to winning a championship.
Not sure why LSU fans are melting. Anyone care to explain?

People are upset because they see the inevitable. The effect of NIL.
A losing season Texas team and an 8-4 A&M team BOTH in the top five and BOTH with seasons that should have not been rated that high.
However, we have open portals and NIL deals happening in todays football. And we are seeing the effects of what happens when it’s above board to have donors pay players for NIL.
The rich win. The poors lose.
The pipes are melting. That’s what’s happening. And it won’t be legal to change. Sucks to be poor.

It’s irrelevant.
People forget this recruiting upset is mixed in with more liberal transfer portal rules. Top talent won’t stay at programs where they don’t get play time, and coaches will need to learn to manage rosters accordingly.
Well coached and well managed teams will still rise to the top above the Texas’s of the world.
People act like the game has drastically changed instead of evolved. Saban will still be at top. This shift has not overthrown the power players and will not strap a rocket to the losers.
LSU’s recruiting struggles are on them. Their fans need to stop blaming the rules that have been changing since the game came into existence.

Melting has more to do with why you are saying what you are saying than what you are saying. You can say something truthful, but saying it while your team is in the midst of an arse kicking to said team shows you are melting.

You have A&M fans acting like Georgia fans thinking they will 100% win the natty next year and have declared themselves off-season champs. They will lose to MSU and a few other teams like they always do.
Then you have LSU fans pathetically trying to troll gumps about Saban recruiting talent from Louisiana as if that’s somehow a poor reflection on Alabama and not LSU.
LSU and A&M fans are not usually known for being smart, but they have been more outrageous than usual.

No. What once was below board and okay for some teams protected by the NCAA due to their relationships built with them is now no longer an advantage. That is what’s occurring.
Bama paying through the REC. Floridas car dealership deals. Louisiana casino cards are now all above board.
But so is direct pay from any donor that owns a business and sets up regular NIL appearances for cash. Th teams with the MOST rich donors wins. That’s not you.
You will see. It’s just started.

LSU will compete. It will be college money not NFL money always, and so they will put recruits on credit cards if they have to in order to not have LSU take a step back. The whole state is full of people who get by beyond their means somehow.

LSU is melting because we just signed the top three receivers from their state, a future all-american CB from their team, and the possibility of snagging their current top receiver.
