I'm sorry Petrine doesn't impress me. He has one of the most talented QB in CFB and can't get any other players there to help the kid out.

you thought you made a good hire last time.

...and so did everybody else. His track record hardly demonstrated how poorly Bert would do in the SEC. He was taken away from Wisconsin. BmfP was taken away from the Atlanta Falcons. I have faith in our AD.

I have lived in, pretty much, every region of Louisiana over a 20+ year period and I can 100% confirm that some of the issue is, at least in part, some members of the fan base.

So LSU has a fringe element of the fanbase? What school doesn't?

Arkansas is arguably the 9th best job in the SEC. Good tradition, great fanbase but nearly impossible to recruit and arguably the worst High School talent in the Southeastern states. Not impossible to win, just difficult. You seriously think a coach would dip out of a top 4 ACC job to clean up Bert's mess?

This is the point I was trying to make earlier. Petrino has his sights set on bigger fish programs than both Louisville and Arkansas. The way he gets there isn't through Arkansas.

Oh, absolutely! But not too many schools have so many "fringe" fans that they would have run off a coach with a 114-34 record after only going 2-2 in the first four games of his final season. I believe most fans, at other schools, would have fought to at least let the man finish the season. I just believe that COULD definitely be something any coach may factor in when considering if he wants to go to a particular program.

Traditionally UL = Arkansas at basketball, and well behind in EVERY OTHER SPORT.

Uhh define 'traditionally". Yeah in the 60s when Jerry Jones played OL at 175 lbs, Arkansas was sweet but things have changed and Louisville has accomplished WAY, WAY, more than Arkansas in football for the past two decades.

UL has won two BCS Bowls, has 4 11+ win Seasons since 2000, and finished ranked in Top 10 3 times since 2004.

Arkansas has never won a BCS Bowl and has 1 11 Win Season and has finished the season ranked in the Top 10 ONE TIME IN THE PAST 30 SEASONS.

If I can pick between the two schools as a coach I'm going to Louisville.

How so? Arkansas has a better tradition than Louisville, but so does Nebraska. It's 2017. Frank Broyles and Tom Osbourne ain't walking through that door. If you look at facts its pretty obvious. Louisville has a better program than y'all the past two decades, your recruiting is slightly better but they play in a weaker conference and y'all play in the SEC West. If Arkansas was in the ACC, you have a top 6 recruiting class, in the SEC you guys have the 10th best class.

As a coach, why the hell would you pick Arkansas and run the gauntlet of the SEC West with less talented players than everyone else?

There are many reasons why LSU fans were frustrated with Miles. "Only going 2-2" isn't nearly the whole picture. He needed to be let go. He did not deserve how he was let go, and again, the AD, not the fans, are responsible for how that went down.

Les himself has recently commented that it's hard to run a program and do your job when the AD won't leave the podium (aka, shut his mouth).

Some of you guys have an awful high opinion of Louisville, a weak arsed team that is about to get hit with the death penalty. Whoever the new AD is won't keep Petrino's mediocre arse anyway.

Also, i love how you pick 11 wins as the # to hit, instead of 10 wins.... I wonder why.

And if the Hogs were in the Big East , we'd have several BCS bowls.

And our Sugar Bowl game... other team played half a dozen ineligible players and had to vacate teh "win", one they got lucky af to get anyway.

All said and done, no way in frick is UL on Arkansas' level. Puhlease. Even with the Heisman trophy QB and the GREATEST COACH Petrino , they are 1 game better than our shite team about to fire our coach....
Pitiful

All I hear is excuses. Probably why your program has been in this conference 25 years and has never won the conference once. You have a majorly distorted view of your program...

You have 1 Top 10 Final Ranking finish in the past 35 years. ONE. Your view of Arkansas being this top tier program is a complete joke.

You have a high opinion of Arkansas that only few have. You are not Bama, Florida, LSU, Auburn. Not even close.

And no. Petrino has zero desire to return to Arkansas. Embrace Bert

Besides the big 4 you just named we are absolutely on on par with any other conference team. We won 10 then 11 games back to back just 6 years ago, we have won 10+ games 3 out of the last 10 years, even NUTTY won 10 at Arkansas, and frick no we dont want shitty non-recruitin a-hole petrino; kindly STFU

And ,correct, im not a pussy like 90% of Hog fans

We've won 2 SEC titles this century alone... Yes travel back in time to the SWC for your conference titles, its been 30 years since you've won your conference....

and yet we still have the same amount of titles, despite your all your recruiting advantages. ONE title in your history, smh. Historically UGA and Arkansas have the same amount of National Titles and the same amount of Conference Titles, yet in your head you are some multiple tiers above Arkansas. If anything, you should have way more than us and are underachieving big time. But , carry on.

Of all the delusional fans your program has, you are absolutely one of the best. Your team averages 7 wins a year since 2000. You are a middle of the pack football team. This ain't the 1970s anymore, you guys are not a top 20 program.

We absolutely have underachieved, see I can look at things realistically, I'm not a delusional tool. Keeping pulling history out your arse man, got to love the guy who looks back to the 60s when Jerry Jones was playing OL at 175 lbs to prove points.

The future is now and you guys haven't won a conference title in 30 years, have finished ranked in the Top 10 once in 30 years, and are averaging 7 wins a year since 2000. How on earth does that make you a top 20 program?? Can you answer that without reverting back to when Frank Broyles was your head coach?
