Neal Brown makes $3.9MM/yr, six year contract at $23.85MM total.
$16MM buyout currently.

So toxic that someone is going to just give up $90M? Lol, no. Not to mention doing that would undoubtedly tank your recruiting and a transfer portal exodus (i.e. tank your program for the next guy). Any new coach worth anything wouldn't step into that environment without another large and guaranteed contract essentially repeating the whole process.

There are tons of coaches who would take the job for far less money, there are tons of better coaches at lower programs that can win. Hell app state has one... People are just stuck on trendy names.

Sure but the fat headed egos in charge aren't ready to take their medicine yet so we have Jimbo for at least 2-3 more years at minimum.

Those guys are rich enough to have someone killed and get away with it though. I wonder what the contract says about such a time that he becomes unable to coach by either accident or death.
