Jalen hurts was sec freshman player of the year and led Alabama to the national championship.

In NO UNIVERSE should Arnold’s situation be compared.

The only thing they have in common is they both play qb…

… which is debatable.

no kidding. bama didnt have a shite OL, shite WRs, AND an OC that was fired mid season

Oklahoma was a dumpster fire. Not Arnolds fault.

Not comparing the players per se, just that there was improvement after a move. Do you deny that Jalen became became a better all around QB at Oklahoma?

No doubt he did, because he played under a guy that produced three Heisman winning qbs in 3 years. Say what you want about Riley, he’s a scumbag, but he knows how to develop a qb

Magic ain’t got nothing to do with it. It’s progression, development, situation. He’s a young player with one year as a starter. Why is it magic to think he can improve? Maybe this situation and his coaches and the players are adding to his development.

I remember a guy that was QB at Bama and not a great passer and got benched for another QB. He transferred, got much better throwing the ball and is now a Super Bowl winner. The guy that he got benched for, he hasn’t developed any more at all and is leading an awful team.

Wasn’t magic. Acting like you have the definitive answer after one year is just silly.

So apparently cherry picking is common on this board, so I will help you out. You completely ignored what followed the statement you quoted. Perhaps you were so busy working out how you were going to respond, you didn't read it:

"The reality is in the middle. He will play better, but until he runs into a great defense and proves he can make good reads and good decisions, we won't know. Personally I think he will struggle in Norman."

This is true. Thought I saw that in another quote just that part in it. Good points. We'll see for sure in a couple weeks.

Arnold may suck or he may be decent or he may be good. Nobody knows.

What we could do, and this sounds like the logical thing to do, is watch this season of football. I bet all those questions and predictions will be answered by playing football games in real life.

Acting like JA doesn’t piss down his leg when he feels a little pressure is classic. Enjoy his stats now. When he faces a real defense, which he will in two weeks, he’s very charitable. I’m calling two lost fumbles and at least one interception

You might be right. But how do you think that game against Michigan goes if you swap out OU's starting OL, and their starting WR's,?

For extra juice, switch OC's on Mateer's arse... I feel like Mateer would be running for his fricking life, with no one to throw to..

OU fans acting like it was all that Kid's fault is fricking delusional..

Sorry Chex, you don’t have Gus as OC

Bama fans sure love Gus. Nevermind that under Gus our offense went a whole lot like this:

College Football Team points per game

2013:12th
2014: 20th
2015: 63rd
2016 53rd
2017: 18th
2018: 59th
2019: 36th
2020: 86th

Many of those years Gus calling the plays himself.

Better hope they cut the grass last year when we played them our players had to be careful not to injure their ankles.

Was the worst field we ever played on.

No wonder they had so many players out last year.

I think Auburn will be just fine y’all win this game and you will have a target on your backs.

Seriously. You suck off Oklahoma every year like clockwork. What is your fetish with Oklahoma? Why don’t you just come out and say you’re an Oklahoma fan? It would be much easier.

When Auburn travels to Norman both teams should be undefeated.

We won't see College GameDay or Big Noon Kickoff but the game should generate some buzz with the whole JA returning to Norman angle.

The line should be no more than 7.5, you think?
