What is laughable is that a "highly regarded expert"(I'd never heard of him until today) says that Newton can't win over a locker room when he has won 2 straight national titles.

That's because he was always the biggest guy in the room in both size and ego. That won't be the case in the NFL. I'm already on record as saying I think Cam can be an incredible NFL QB. However, the big "but" in all of it is he has to learn to humble himself or the NFL has ways of doing it for you. It will be very interesting to follow Cam's career.

You damn straight I'm serious.

Look at Tebow. He was a leader as soon as he
stepped on that campus.

That's all that really matters to me. I hope he does well in the NFL, but there is a pretty decent chance that he is a bust. It won't change what he did for AU.

With respect to the OPs link, that guy has an opinion. It seems a little overboard, unfair and, at points, lacking in a factual basis, but I don't really care if he is fair to Cam or not. Cam will be fine as well I am sure.

The comments are written by fans, hence they tend to be biased...as evidenced by one of them that asserts that TCU was the best team in the country last season.

Tebow was the starter...what did you want him to do? Demand respect from the fricking sideline? And no, Tebow wasn't the leader as soon as he stepped on campus, or he wouldn't have split time along side Leak.

This. Last fall was a particularly bad time for me personally, but the one thing that helped me get through it was being in Auburn on Saturdays and being amazed by this team and Cam.

I need Cam Newton to succeed in the NFL because I'm the only one in my group of friends who believes he will do well in the League. He better overcome his ego problems real quick!

So you dont agree with him always knowing where the cameras are and being an "entertainer" ?

Yeah, I guess you're right. There IS a notable lack of this kind of shite in the NFL, which will definitely make Cam Newton quite a damn shock to the system, won't it?

Not even close. Newton's focus is not in question by anyone with a brain, not sure what crawled up this guy's arse but he's clueless about Newton. This is the exact opposite of what every Auburn coach feels about Newton. Newton commanded respect of his fellow players, you don't lead a team the way he did and not. Anyone that says you can do what he did with the team and not have leadership is a damn fool.

lmfao

If an o-lineman was hopping on walls, waving shite, and running around like a 12 year old after every play the cameras would be on him too.....thats the point.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand we finally get to the crux of the matter for some of you... he hurt your widdle feelings!

I bet the LSU players couldn't care less how many walls Cam jumped up on top of after the AU/LSU game. I also bet they would have relished the opportunity to run around like a 12 year old after that game.

Sure saw enough of'em running around like 12 year olds after ya'll beat Tennessee.

You hypocrites are frickin' hilarious.

Love it... to defend your school, your team, and your players, one is an "ostrich".

To DISPROVE this point, you must let anyone besmirch, defame, and insult your school, your team, and your players without responding.

You're a GENIUS!
