"Cam Newton Spots DB 5 Yards"
Nope.

Someone isn't too good with their math.
One guy was running in a straight line somewhat and the other guy had a bad angle on Cam. He had to run further.
Plus Cam didn't have far to go for that TD. Cam is not that fast. Maybe a 4.6 or 4.7 guy.
Not impressive. No Vick experience there.

Doesn't matter anyway. If the DB had caught him, Cam would have just ran his arse over.
TD either way !!!!
Dude is bad. If your a Barner or not..

The DB was in stride at the same time Cam was tripped with his hand on the ground. Somehow, that is left out of everyone's mind.
Either way, impressive or not, it went for 6. Any more impressive doesn't award more points.

Personally I have never been very impressed with anyone that is 250 lbs and cannot run AT LEAST a 4.5 40 like Cam.
IMO if you are 250lbs or more and cannot run a 4.3 or 4.4 40, you are obviously an unimpressive individual.
I mean shite I can name lots and lots of guys that play in the NFL that are 250+ and run a 4.4 forty. Infact, I will list themn below:
1.
ummm
hmmm
Well, Cam still does not impress me.

By next week Cam will be running a 4.3.
I love watching the combine to see these guys who the announcers say run 4.3's get 4.6 range times when it is for real.

You are right, Dex. Someone isn't too good with their math. You.
When Cam's hand is on the ground, he is on the 47, USC player is on the 42.5 and is about 7 yards away, East to West. His angle adds 2 yards to the distance to the pylon for each. Cam had 47 yards to go (had he run in a straight line from when his hand went down)and the USC Safety had 44.5. Where he screwed up had nothing to do with the math...the math said he should have caught him. It's 3 things: 1. He never seemed to be on his horse running full speed. Why? Who knows, who cares unless you are his coach or a USC fan. 2. Cam is fast...I don't know if you have noticed but the guys up around 6'6' never look as fast because they take longer strides than a Noel Devine whose feet seem to be moving at light speed but would lose to Matt Jones in a race. Speaking of Matt Jones, Cam is a step slower, but more elusive and will run your arse over...but the height and deceptive speed reminds me of him....more like a Vince Young running style but again, will run your arse over. 3. The USC guy took a circular angle...meaning at every step, he realized he was taking the wrong angle and was having to adjust.
That tends to happen when you are underestimating someone's speed. Used to happen to Matt Jones all the time.
You guys do realize that you are throwing the SEC's leading rusher under the bus....and he's a QB. Aren't you guys supposed to like the SEC? How can the leading rush suck? How bad does the SEC have to be for their leading rusher, a QB, to be slow?
While you try to solve that riddle, consider this...if you are not fast, how do you take off from the 7 yard line and land your waist band on the goal line? Wings? Levitation?
Keep underestimating Cam, haters. He likes it that way. Unfortunately, your coaches aren't nearly as dumb as you are though.

That won't fly to a lot of people here. You actually used facts and logic.

You are "meh".
Your 250 RB had 10 carries for 25 yards, 2.5 avg and 0 TD's yesterday. Cam had 25 carries for 176 yards, 7 avg and 3 TD's. Yeah, but...yeah, but...what about the season??
Season: Green 42 carries for 134 yards, 3.2 avg per carry and 1 TD. Cam 75 carries for 485 yards, a 6.5 avg per carry and 5 TD's?
Yeah, he might not throw quite as well as Mallet...I mean, the guy is clearly top 5 in college ball...but, the stats say he does. Cam ranks 4th in passing efficiency and Mallet 10th? Cam has thrown 9 TD and 3 picks, Mallet has thrown 10 TD and 5 picks.
You suck, Cam rocks, go enjoy your moral victory with some moonshine, meth and a
I know I don't need to tell you but for the others...that is patriot, heartthrob, Arky native Lee Greenwood.

yea but green holds the record for longest run in the history of football. and newton couldn't even get away from the cops with a laptop. Also leave it to an aubbie fan to find a picture of a man in underwear.....

Notice you didn't defend yourself on the moonshine and meth but want nothing to do with Lee Greenwood.

A friend of mine who plays on the team (starts) said that during summer workouts and testing Cam was the third fastest player on the team behind only Mccalebb and Demond Washington.
