Tim Tebow doesn't refuse to lose until after he has lost. Tim Tebow lost what 6 games? Cam lost 0.

Cam had the single most impressive season i have ever seen. Everything he did was outstanding.

Tebow was good, but he was on a team that run up scores, and also had an amazing defense to back them.

Auburn might prove this year their own argument in this thread. How many games does that team lose last year without Newton (cannot refer to him as Cam) last year? They would have been irrevelant.

Defense is responsible for at least 2 wins for them last year. Clemson and Bama, imo. Probably the NC too.

Ok, this is the 3rd time I've stated that I don't think Cam is the best ever. Just so everyone can see.

Do you think Cam or Bo was better?

The 2007 Florida defense was far from amazing.

For one season, Cam.

Yet was still better than Auburn in every category that Alahunter posted, except rush defense. And Auburn was 9th with Florida 10th.

Florida also had true freshman in that 2007 defense that had to replace 9 starters. Auburn's defense might have been on par in stats, but Florida's 07 D was worse on lack of experience alone.

Did Cam really deficate on the field in tuscaloosa?

The poster was confused. It was us (Bama) that crapped on the field in the 2nd half last year, not Cam.

Damn I hate that game. Never gone from such a high to such a low in one game. One of my AU buddies texted when it was 24-0 and conceeded the game, said AU would always be second fiddle to Bama, and went to ride his motorcycle. 2 hours after the game he was still texting & talking shite about the comeback. Efforts to remind him of his earlier text were unsuccessful.

Joe Haden had never played on defense before he started at CB in 2007. He went from a QB to a CB. Enough said.

but the top end of their talent - from a potential and NFL perspective - is young. How many of the four draft eligible linemen were picked? How high? How about the three draft eligible receivers Cam had to work with? Where were they picked?

Has nothing to do with it. How many "draft eligible" players from Bama's 09 team were drafted high? How bought UF's 08 team? How bought LSU's 07 team?

Their lack of experience still amounted to a better season defensively. Like I said, Florida was better in every category except one. And they still lost 4 games while we lost... 0

Noted blzr, but from the outside looking in your boy was the difference last year. Jesus, you could have pulled a Kodi Burns behing that OL and won nothing. Your DL was crazy last year with NF as the monster piece. It was the perfect storm last year for you guys, but I think the 2 transcendent players on both sides of the ball were the reason you finished. Again, I'm an LSU fan maybe I don't what the hell I'm talking about when it comes to AU.

Off the top of my head...
First round - McClain & Jackson
Second round - Cody
Third round - Arenas & Mike Johnson

Bama had a total of seven players drafter and nine sign nfl contracts that year. Five in the first three rounds is pretty indicative of my point.

Tebow did everything that needed to be done, and with less athletic gifts than Newton.

Embrace your one-year mercenary savior, Aubies. If you have to vacate the whole season, and go into the NCAA shitter, will you still worship him?

Not every category... Auburn was better in scoring defense. That is the most important category.

Auburn defensively in 2010 had far more talent than Florida defensively in 2007. experience is a difference maker and you know it. When Auburn got in a jam they knew they could get out of it based on previous knowledge, while Florida did not know and had never been in a situation like say 4th qtr vs LSU in 2007.

Doubt anyone "worships" Cam Newton

Don't see many people going in this direction

Auburn had more sacks, INTs, forced fumbles as well. Auburn's scoring defense was better. Neither defense was great though. They were pretty equal.

I can see someone worshiping Bear Bryant. He was a gifted human being. You wouldn't understand, I guess.
