Here's how it should be done by a Heisman Trophy winner:

Auburn's budget for this year has been set and they must wrap up Q4 strong to meet forcasted plan...therefore see nothing from Cam that would put company expectation at risk.....

Remember it's a business..a family business, but a business it is.

Please note that no one ever said outperforming the Tide would be easy!!

you think he will show up on Letterman tomorrow night?

And from what I saw last year, F&F asked about Mark's dad, his dad's activity, and how that affected his life. Should have been very similar questions for CN this year.

You proud of your guy? Honestly?

His attorney advised him not to appear, I would expect a statement to be released through said attorney at any time.

then the attorney should have let F&F know beforehand... bad PR move to have F&F reading tweets on the air about F&F not paying enough money to have Cam as a guest.

Tell me you're joking.

If he did they are making Cam look guilty as hell...

Wait is this serious? Cam tweeted that he would not appear on the show because they did not pay enough?

I don't care if the attorney advised him or not. The fact that Cam Newton didn't show up makes him look guilty in my eyes.

What are they so afraid of? Why are they trying to hide Newton from the media? He's eligible, remember?

Not joking. They made fun of him for a solid 2 1/2 hours during most break segments.

Compared him not showing up today to when Blagojevich didn't show up because Blagojevich was on the run.

And ended the show with a tweet about them not being able to afford him as a guest.

no, not a tweet from Cam...just a tweet from a random somebody making a Cam joke.

but it got on the air and the guilty message was further propagated.

Cam could take a lie detector.. he could waste his time defending himself in interview after interview.. and most of the media would still think he's guilty for being a smug, cheating douche so why the hell should he?

Glad he didn't show up and get them ratings if they did this.

yea, pissing off the NY media is the way to go.

i doubt it would have been mentioned at all if he would have simply let them know that he was not going to be able to make it.
