You missed his dolphin head coaching season in 2007. So technically you're wrong on 10 years.

I'm pretty happy with a guy who took us from a # 60 ish recruiting class to # 22.

Arkansas fans love them some mediocrity. Kinda like "making it" to Omaha.

Congrats.

Being a head coach for the Dolphins and doing well in the college ranks could NEVER happen.

To be fair, the Dolphins were in pretty bad shape as a franchise at the time.

Matt Cavanaugh was an OC for nearly a decade and he was absolutely terrible. The NFL is an old boys' club. There are a lot of mediocre coaches who stick around for a while based on who they know or who they are friends with.

Did he average the 10th and 16th offenses over his career? I'd say that's not bad at all.

Well it was that bust of a coach Nick Saban that left the team so talent barren in Cameron's 1 season there.

yes...they were catapulted into the playoffs using his offense
This was my opinion of the situation.

Cameron was the scapegoat of a Ravens team that needed a wake-up call.

The Ravens loss is LSU's gain. LSU's offense has hit rock bottom the past couple of years. Y'all have nowhere to go but up. Great hire.

Does Cam Cameron still get a Super Bowl ring despite getting fired during Week 14???

Yes. The Ravens FO understands quite well that Cameron is a major reason why they made their run through the playoffs and ultimately won the SB. And despite the number of fans who bitched about him when he was OC, Cameron is given a ton of credit in Baltimore for turning around an offense that was pretty mediocre when he got there...even to the point where O carried the team the past few years rather than the Ravens' historically strong D.

The Dolphins HC position at that time was not for the faint of heart.

What about the next 34 points? We couldn't stop you.

Your defense stunk

You may not remember you had close to 400 yards of total offense.

Under 400 yards of offense against you that year is a bit of an insult. Afterall we played in the NCG and won the SEC.

I understand the frustration a lot of LSU fans have felt about the offense over the last few years but you just can't call a LSU team that scored more than 35 points per game a bad offense.

It wasn't due to the offense, and absolutely I can when it's the EIGTHY SIXTH ranked offense in college football.

quote:

Was that 2011 offense terrible? Absolutely not. They beat the hell out of most teams in all three phases of the game

86th ranked offense, that's AWFUL for a team that won the SEC and went to the NCG. Please someone find me a team that was that bad on offense that won their conference and played in the NCG. I'd love to see it.
