no offense to the OP and I know "you don't have to click the post" but I really do have Cam Fever. In the form of diarrhea. The guy and his dad are some shady characters and pulled a cute one on everyone, including Auburn University.

Now, I don't want him to "fail", if he makes millions and goes to the NFL HOF,great. I just think he's bum. There's no way all this stuff just keeps happening to some "innocent guy with bad luck" and its really no surprise considering what a loser his dad is.

I'm ready for the guy to just go away.

I have to agree. I wish to never hear the name Cam Newton again. I don't wish him harm, I just don't wish anything for him. That is just my feelings for him, and it has nothing to do with his talent. If he had been the humble sort like Tim Tebow, I might could wish him well, but he is just an arrogant jerk, and people will see this soon enough. I hope he doesn't go to a team in the NFL that I like, because the day he does, I will no longer watch them. He's no longer the big fish in the little pond, and I hope he jumps in and just drowns and is average and we don't have to hear the name again.

Will he go high? Probably. Will he be a successful QB? Maybe. Personally, I doubt it.

This guy has monumental bust written all over him.

-The shadiness of the whole p4p deal. (character issues?)
-The "private" work out? What the hell is that? Scouts can't come and Trent Dilfer is who we're supposed to believe? He's an analyst, not a coach, so in reality his opinion isn't worth dick.
-He's a run first QB and never been tested against Ds dropping 6 or 7 into coverage. He might be the exception (vick) not the rule (crouch, young, troy smith, etc.) but I doubt it.

He might get drafted high by some dumb team but his NFL career will be very underwhelming, book it.

So this boog thinks that a guy who played on season of major college football behind one of if not the most veteran offensive line in the nation in an offensive system that bears no resemblance deserves to be a top 5 guy and will succeed for no apparent reason? Flawless logic imo.

I don't know if I was the first Bammer to say it, but I think the kid is really special and will be a good to great pro.

He doesn't have a jacked up throwing motion like Tebow or Vince Young. The ball explodes out of his hand. I've seen him make all the throws a NFL QB will have to make, comeback outside the numbers, deep dig route, and the go route.

I watched part of a Sportscenter outtake before yesterday that was knocking him for throwing it off balance sometimes. He does do that, but he's not just throwing it up for grabs. There was a play in the national championship game where a guy came unblocked, he dodged him and they had him by the leg and he launched it down the sideline complete.

Several times this year he was dead in the water and kept the play alive by SCRAMBLING IN THE POCKET to make a play.

I think he is very comparable to Big Ben in how he keeps plays alive. It's just a positive that he happens to run like a deer.

He put Auburn on his back this year and faced some really tough situations while doing so. His teammates love him. I think he is a winner. The biggest adjustment for him is going to be adjusting to a NFL offense.

I think Redskins are a great fit. Shanahan likes an athletic QB to be able to move the pocket with boots and the such. The 'Skins need a star and I think he could be the guy.

No quarterback will ever succeed there as long as Snyder owns and meddles.

Just because he ran all over LSU, he is a run first?

You might want to go back and watch the games. Did he pass for 300+ every game? no. but he was a great passer in several games. No he did not throw perfect every time, but he has a good delivery.

I tend to hold judgement for all future NFL guys playing in a skill position until after their first couple of seasons.

Not my logic asshat. It is the logic of many NFL scouts and GM's.

I will take their evaluation over your's or mine. They are the ones putting tens of millions at stake.

Well, they get paid to do it. I am sure that if your opinion was so great, that you might be paid for it too. Scouts get more right than not.

What scout or GM have you directly heard say that he is a great prospect? Just because ESPN's "experts" fall in love with him and say that scouts love him doesn't mean that they are elite or that scouts love them. Kiper was convinced that Clausen would be drafted high last year; How did that work out for him?

We will have to wait and see. Miami radio this morning was of the opinion that is the rapidly growing opinion of NFL scouts and GM's. Miami desperately needs a QB and most do not think Cam will be around very long in the draft.

Agree. I think he has the intangibles as a leader and guy his teammates will buy into.

If he goes to the Skins, I will have to be a Skins fan I suppose.

Again, what NFL scouts have been raving about him? Every year we hear from the Mothership that teams are loving these players yet they never go where ESPN says they will. It happens every single year and people take ESPN's side that a guy slipped rather than the obvious conclusion that teams just weren't that high on a guy or did not have a need for him.

Hell 2 years ago, SI.com was convinced that Coye Francies was a first rounder. He would be mid 2nd round at worst. Anyone know where he was drafted? Anyone even know who drafted him? Anyone know who he plays for currently?

Wrong. You are most likely the sorry sack of shite.

any prediction I made about his draft placement was as much hoping as actual opinion

Then you should state as much asshat. If you want to say soomething you do not really believe, you should STFU or say "I hope" rather than predicting stupid shite.

I guess your sports predictions are always 100% accurate?

I try not to make stupid arse predictions like yourself.

I'll go ahead and predict Cam will be an NFL bust and I'm sure you will predict he will be in the NFL hall of fame.

There you go again with your stupidity. You just can't help it I suppose.

All that because I didn't answer the way you wanted me to? You are one bitter aub.
