Cal said post-game, none of the seniors would be back. Surprised about Oscar

Why wait for next year? He needs to GTFO today. Been there over a decade and the program is in a rut
Make the move the Kentucky of old would never have stood for such weak results

Wonder if Cal would be better off portaling more every year, instead of signing so many one-and-dones? NIL $ Seems to be abundant.
Wheeler was good I thought, and Reeves can be a reliable scorer, too. Wonder if Cal still could build a team over time?

Cal couldn't do it with all those 5* diaper dandies. Now Oscar is going into his 7th season and even with much more maturity, these teams look like they are still a day late and a dollar short. Bringing in another batch of McDonald's freshmen doesn't scare anyone in the SEC.

My bad. I was thinking of the 2014-15 team with KAT.
That's when Cal should've been fired. My apologies.

Doesn’t he have an out in his contract after next season to become a special advisor to the athletic department? I know that he’d be walking away from a lot of money, but he’d still he getting a million a year and not having to be miserable 24/7/365.

Yes. Les Miles turned us into an 8-4 program. It seems Cal is always one class away from turning it around. If I was a Kentucky fan maybe I’d be impatient also.

No, Cal was exposed early. Problem was he had the kid with a heart in The Brow and won that Natty and everybody was happy but I think Davis was unique to the modern kids and Cal has not been able to get that kid but he has gotten all the talent.
Pitino was forced to build an old fashioned team like Rupp used to with Mashburn (the talent) and 4 other kids playing out of their mind because they believed. Maybe those days are gone, but maybe it is Cal getting the best recruits but not gelling to play as a team.
Basketball is a TEAM sport and works best when all 5 work together. Combine that with Cal's inability to adjust the in game coaching and it seems to be a fatal flaw.
