Butch was a college teammate of mine back in 90-92 at Birmingham-Southern College. He has been a winner everywhere he has coached. Truly a class act guy who can coach. I was hoping LSU would give him a look when they hired Jay Johnson.

I e been really concerned he would make a jump to a "baseball school" and he may still in the future. But that will only mean that he has built something damn near impossible at Auburn so I'd wish him well.
I'd really like to see him have a long run of success at AU. Butch and Bruce are doing great things for the AU athletic department.
