If y'all could knock a few of their players out with week long injuries, it'd be appreciated

*UK fans, notice I said week long injuries. Not significant ones.

Tennessee is probably better than their power ranking indicates, but gets dinged because of their slow start. Stokes is going to be a difference maker for them if he can get his fouling under control (IMO he'll get whistled on the road for his physical play).

Well, with Brandon Mitchell joining the Basketball team, he might be able to bean them in the head with the ball.

I agree with this. Yet, I'm torn between wanting us to do well and hastening Horn's departure.

In the first half against UF, we looked pretty good. Shot 60% (15/25) and led 41-40 at the half. In the second half, Bruce Ellington picked up his 3rd foul within 30 seconds and pretty much spent the next ten minutes on the bench. Without him, the offense looked completely lost -- we scored 3 points in the next ten minutes. Florida got up by 16 or so. Ellington came in and we made a little run to close it to 10, but even then we looked purposeless.

I was impressed with Florida's ball movement. Horn tried to play a zone; that wasn't happening with UF's 3-point shooting (50% for the game). Florida whipped the ball around really quick -- faster than our team could react -- and always got open 3's.

This is true for 4 or 5 SEC teams. I really believe one of the main reasons that the SEC is not as strong as some other conferences is because of this. We play such a simple game of basketball in this conference. Meanwhile, the other guys are screening away from the ball, running off picks, constantly moving the ball, running multiple offenses, and getting good shots.

We really only have one game to judge Tennessee by. That game was yesterday. They played the number 2 team in the country pretty well. I don't know where you should put them right now, but I think they will be in the top four at the end of the season.

No. We need a PG to be able to move Golden to the 2. Without a PG we are not better than UK, Vandy, MS St., Bama, or UF.

Next year if we sign a solid JUCO PG, we will be a top 25 squad imo with everybody returning except Tatum.

They are where they are imo. I think he's saying they are very close to being higher on that list... They are better than their record indicates.

Yes I'd take 1-1 with road games at OM & Vandy coming up.

If yesterday was an indication of what kind of production Stokes can consistently provide, Tennessee can continue to climb up the list. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Tennessee has another ugly stretch this season.

If Martin gets this Tennessee team to the top 4, I'm going to be very confident about the future of UT basketball. That said, I think top 4 is being really optimistic. I still won't be surprised if Tennessee is under .500 in SEC play.

I'm going with this, the NCAA Tourney teams:
UK
UF
VU
MSU
Bama

The NIT teams, depending if the smaller conferences don't screw this up.

UT

The rest is just sitting at home doing brackets like us.

The Pigs are a maybe into NIT. I don't see them winning any road games so they HAVE to win Thursday in NOLA, of not it's another non post season year

I think we will manage 1 or 2 road wins but I see us only making the NIT.

I'm amazed that Tennessee isn't in the top 3 every year. I thought they were basketball lovers up there.
