I could say the same for Arkansas in a couple of years.

I could say the same for Kentucky (in the east) every year

Don't get your panties in a wad, Tennessee is still in the east.

So beating
Jackson State
Auburn
Troy
South Alabama
Kentucky
Tennessee
Middle Tennessee State
is considered winning in the SEC?
Beating Auburn, Tennessee, & UK would make them 3-0 in the SEC and going undefeated in the first 7 games would make them bowl eligible.
As for winning the SEC, yes they will have to beat Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, and Auburn to go to Atlanta.
Just to compete every year is not as difficult. They just need to win their cross division sec games, go undefeated in OOC games and finish strong against their rivals to look good in the SEC. Getting an upset against someone like LSU would go a long way.

The team you beat once every 28 years?

It's 26 years. It is what it is. Notre Dame had even a longer winning streak over Navy and look what's happened. I'm not making excuses for those previous years but I'm just looking forward to getting better this year and beating Tennessee again.

I remember like maybe 10 years ago, y'all were about about 35-7 in the 4th fricking quarter and UT came back. You know what I'm talking about.

It seems like that happened in 07 but I cant remember.
Lets keep this thread about Bundy's Bulldogs though. I think their going to do really well this year.

They practice on the intramural fields, which are sorta off campus near a farm.

It's technically on campus but just barely. There's only one building there and there aren't a lot of classes held there because the building is still under construction.
To whoever made the "Why do they stay in hotels" comment, it's not because the fields are far away, it's to exclude them from doing anything but football. Drive them there, take away phones/laptops/other forms of electronics and have meetings discussing playbook/how practice went/game tape etc.

I am not trolling state, but you guys can do better. Y'all should have a decent practice facility with all the SEC cash.
I also thought High School at first glance. Except my HS had a far better setup for practice.

thats not our practice fields- our practice fields are nice- good God, we're a school that invented our own strain of bermuda grass
They go there for 2 a days to get away and keep everything secluded- nobody can get close enough to see practice that isnt supposed to be there. This is Mullen's version of "The Junction" ala Bear Bryant

We do have have practice fields and will go to them Monday. These fields (intramural fields) are behind the vet school. Regular students are not around this area, They do two a days there for two weeks. Basically these players only have football on their minds. Its only one road so public or media can't come watch. They have security on the road.

Just the fact that alot of people outside of Starkville keep mentioning it as a possibility shows how far the program has come

no one is mentioning it as a possibility. Your best chance to beat LSU or Alabama came and went when Mullen went full on retard against LSU in 2009.

1 offensive TD a year ago for LSU. We are getting closer than you apparently realize. With a QB that can move the ball around, we will be better offensively & should be more of a threat for Bama and LSU. Yeah, I still think we'll lose. Especially being on the road.

I can't speak for all but most if not all teams stay in hotels for fall camp. No matter where the fields are.

And I thought Bama would beat LSU last year for the same reason, but 9-6.
State could be undefeated when they play Bama. If State is, it could be a defeat for Bama.....who knows...maybe this is the year for State.....or it just State and no one get excited.....My bro went to State and records all the games. He burns the defeats and just watches the few they win. He cannot stand to watch them play, but maybe this is the year for the big step up......
