He had an amazing season and he should win, though I'm sure they'll give it to Kermit again.

He wouldn't have gotten to where he is unless he went to Oklahoma. Oklahoma had a reputation for putting QB's in the league. If he stayed at bama, he would have been on the bench and not drafted where he was drafted. Bama should NOT claim a product of Oklahoma.

Really hoping for a Hurts vs Burrow Super Bowl. Always love the Alabama/ Ohio State matchups.

We still supported the hell out of him. Even at Oklahoma.

And it sure as shite looks like we were right about needing to get Tua in there.

Or do you think Alabama was going to come back and beat UGA in the 2nd half with Jalen leading the way?

Blah. Hurts is still playing on a rookie deal. He costs $1.5 million this year. That goes up next year, but is still cheap.

Jalen Hurts is a fine QB. And a fine individual, from all I've seen. But he's not a "great" QB. And spoiler alert ... only one QB at the top level is worth what he is paid. Possibly.

Literally. Mahomes salary cap hit gets so much bigger next year they have to drop another star player somewhere. When Burrow goes from $1 Million to $40 million ? That money will come from the talent around him.

Let Jalen Hurts start making Dak Prescott money. And losing $40 million in talent around him. Then watch Alabama fans forget they ever knew Jalen Hurts.

I'll reply to my own reply because I got my first down-vote. So lets do simple damn math. An NFL team currently has $210 million to pay 53 football players.

Jalen Hurts, being on a rookie deal, has a contract structured by the players union. His take, of that $210 million, is $1.5 million this year.

So then, if you are able to not only use the Internet, but understand the words printed on the digital pages in front of you ... go to a site like Spotrac. Look at the contracts of all of the players on the Eagles. Then project how many of them walk, if and when Jalen Hurts even makes $30 million a year.

Then tell me how things will go when they are gone. Then tell me how good Jalen Hurts is. He's playing cheap. How much he wins in two years depends on how cheap he's willing to play. Next year, he makes $4.5 million.

I still love my kids when I tell them to go stand in the corner.

It’s the same thing.
