That shits not going to cut it in the SEC.

He also wasn’t able to recruit studs from the south like LSU or typical top sec teams do. 12.6 average rating in regards to who they actually can recruit is actually remarkable. Also, not every big time recruit can maintain a high enough gpa to play there. You have to factor all that in to realize how impressive that really is.

If that’s true why did his replacement just sign the number 7 class in the country stealing top players from South Carolina, TX, GA, AZ and Southern California?

Lots of hope and prays wrapped up in this post. If he is not a worry, why keep posting about him. It’s not like you are on here posting about Billiy Napier every night?

Oh he can win a championship at LSU. If the shrimp boat captain can win one anyone who can recruit will. The question is does BK want to recruit and is he good at it?

Ok, that is a legit question. Based on what I saw on NSD, the early results are promising. He held together the best OL recruiting class ever at LSU and he recruited the best QB in the portal to come to LSU. So far so good. Ed O left the NIL stuff in shambles, but they are going to get that fixed. Also, he made a rock start hire in Frank Wilson that will show him the recruiting ropes in Louisiana. But I get your question and post now....

Everyone agrees that ND's recruiting is different from most schools. Academics, like with the service academy's, play a huge role in their pool of talent.
And Brian Kelly did an excellent job of bringing Notre Dame back from obscurity after the Charlie Weis era.
However, and this can't be denied, ND benefits from historical bias and not playing in a football conference.
I've laughed my entire life at how they are ranked in regard to the rest of the country. Part of this is from their huge journalism program. Any writer from that school is suspect, IMHO.
None of this matters for LSU and Brian Kelly. You got an excellent coach but there have been many 'good' coaches come in from outside the conference who've had the lunch money stolen.
We'll see how he does by year 3.

That will be the bell cow year. That is when we will start to see his recruits on the field. I will say this, the future looks bright for LSU football based on what he did in his first 2 weeks.

Thanks for letting everyone know CBK and LSU are number one on your mind early this morning.

This is hard to reconcile. They had a coaching change 2 weeks before ESD with a possible shot at CFP. If I was a player looking to go to ND…. Something just not adding up. Damn good class with this stuff.

Freeman, upon first glance, appears to be an elite recruiter.

Yes. yes, it does.

That is outstanding considering the fact that the academic requirements eliminated a lot of players from the start. Who are you kidding?

I would’ve agreed with you prior to his first class at LSU. 1. He didn’t even care to do a presser. 2. His class was very shitty for LSU standards. 3. He is having trouble keeping his current team together. Even auburns shitty coach was able to convince Tank to stay.

He needs to get it done. LSU fans aren’t chill about being patient with expensive coaches, but they won’t have they money to buy him out and get another staff for four years minimum. Could lead to a bad situation.

Common people he has built winning programs for 30 years at all levels. He has won championships. Now his recruiting efforts at ND are being credited to his DC that was there for one year. Gumps are happy they got WRs out of Louisiana, but that is not what LSU needed. LSU got what it needed out of LA. Those big uglies upfront are gonna win a lot of games for LSU in the coming years. LSU hit on every need except LBs. we got the two best QBs in the class via portal and Howard. We got they kid out of mandiville that looks like a version of Justin Jefferson to me. It was a great day for LSU, excited for the future. Geaux Tigers.

Lol at the intentional lack of factual context. Now do Stanford, Northwestern, Duke and others with highly restrictive academic standards and report back. And then give us the recruiting ranking of Notre Dame with his predecessors.
You ol boys are scrambling for anything at this point.
