I don't get why Kelly loves Ireland. He is no longer the Notre Dame HC. Why can't he continue to get LSU games in other places in the US like Dallas and Las Vegas? Las Vegas is a good one for LSU. Only thing I can think of is he wants this to be about himself. LSU has no ties with Notre Dame. He better start focusing on getting his team to win the first game of the season. Also, he better find a way to get LSU to the playoff within the next 3 years.

Why do you care where LSU plays? Sounds like it would be an incredible experience for the kids on the team. Most of which would never get that opportunity.

Nobody whines more about neutral site games than LSU fans.

Kelly needs to win games and quit playing administrator.

You have a serious issue or mental issue. Do you just sit there and look for LSU articles and then look for any reason to bash LSU and Brian Kelly … seriously you have issues.

What is the big deal LSU playing a football game in Ireland? How is that a problem or an issue?

you are right because 2-10 wins seasons by anybody else’s standards would be considered good especially by Missouri standards and how do you know he’s not focused on winning the first game right now?

That’s just a stupid statement again you keep coming up with one dumb arse statement after another

As a fan, if we’re going to play neutral site games I want to play them all over. Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, South Fla, etc. are all fun but most big programs have done them multiple times now.

If we’re going to lose home games I have no problem going international.

With the 12 team playoff and conference championship games if your team makes it to the championship game it's going to cost a fortune to attend the conference championship game and 3(?) playoff games. Adding a regular season game in Europe is going to costly as well. In 2017 we spent about $10K traveling to the SEC CG (not counting tickets, have had them since the first game in Atlanta) and the Rose Bowl. The quarters, and semis are bowl games unless I am mistaken and the championship game is liable to be anywhere. The SEC Champ will most likely always have a bye in the first round but if not that game could require travel also. I am sure that most people who attend such games are doing so on some sort of corporate account but for those who aren't its a damned expensive hobby. Adding a trip to Europe for a perennial playoff contender seems excessive. I can see Georgia Tech doing it, they are unlikely to make a bowl most years and it would be a nice trip for the 2000 or so fans who would make it but LSU fans are going to have to put off retirement if the Tigers make the playoffs as often as they should.

Is this really something you needed post? Do you think anyone here really care s if BK wants to play a game in Ireland? Is this truly news worthy to you? If so, you need to take a break from this board

So would France, Italy, Germany or just about any other foreign country. I mean, it is a legit question. Of course it would not be an issue if he had not just come from ND. That's what drives the question.
Personally, I don't care where anybody plays, and maybe what is driving Kelly is his experience as ND's coach. That's ok, but then it is a legit question to ask, too.

You’ve obviously never left Missouri let alone traveled abroad

Ireland is a beautiful country that everyone should visit. Can’t wait to see LSU in Dublin

A lot of NFL teams who have made the European trip for a football game complained about extreme jetlag getting back and that it affected them in the next game. Kelly better schedule it well. Let me suggest before the BAMA game.

I don't see the reason why any school would want to have a game outside of the US.

I understand the idea of growing the sport, which is why the NFL does it. But that's not the job of an individual college. I understand why individual colleges want to play neutral site games in recruiting hotbeds away from their campuses. Places like Atlanta, Charlotte, Orlando, Miami, Dallas, Houston and LA make a lot of sense.

But there are very few college football recruits overseas. There's no point.

I was in Ireland last month and was surprised to find out how many sports fans there like American college football. I was talking to a group of guys at a Pub and they could tell I was American and started asking about college football. They're big SEC fans, but also like the Big10. Most of their favorite teams are the usual big time programs, but they all wanted to go to a game in Death Valley.

The week before in was in Edinburgh and the Taxi driver (born and raised there) was a huge Bama fan.
