What a shitty way to handle such a situation. All you have to do is give him a spot on the roster and say publicly he is welcome etc. Then you show loyalty.

He doesn’t just want a spot on the roster

That applies to well over half of HCs out there.

Yep.

I don't know why some people are getting butt hurt about me pointing it out. It's like getting upset if I say a coach should have taken the 3 instead of going for it.

It's a tiny thing, but tiny things matter at the highest levels. Saban was a master at it, and for good reason.

Yeah, that's exactly why you publicly say he's welcome. In the end it comes down to NIL/playing time and that's going to be handled privately. Then it's the kid just left on his own, rather than the HC saying "He can't play here" in an interview.

You want BK to lie and possibly use a roster spot on someone he doesn’t want on the team, but BK is the bad guy in this situation….

He is possibly entering his 7th season, can’t stay healthy, and has less than 1150 total rushing yards for his college career.

I didn't say he was a bad guy, I said it was terrible from a PR standpoint.

Let me put it another way - if he hadn't handled it that way, this thread wouldn't exist and I wouldn't have a bunch of LSU fans defending what he said.

The only folks that seem to be having a problem with it are OP and you.

I'm sure some like TrueLefty and cajunbama will have an issue as well.

At what point do you people admit Brian Kelly is a bad man?

As long as he keeps winning championships they won't care.

Oh wait

The fact you see what I posted as me having an "issue" with him only highlights what a dumbass you truly are. You're so fricking defensive about anything LSU that you take everything as a personal attack.

Like a bitch.

Should have kept his commitment to UGA.

Would likely be in the league by now

You're either a troll or a massive pussy, that's all there really is to it.

The only folks here having an issue are you and several known trolls.

You keep saying it's "bad PR". To whom? Alabama fans?

How would you have answered the question?

It's bad PR for future recruiting.

I already said how I would answer the question, I would have said he was always welcome and have let it work itself out in private through NIL.

Yeah, just like Tyler Love.

Wait, you've never heard of him? That's because he was a 5 star recruit who spent 5 years at Alabama and never played a snap that I can remember.

How?

It's all about money now, the players aren't loyal, neither are the programs. Everyone understands it's a business now.

Besides, the dude literally had a spot here 6 years.

They don't have a roster spot for him, kind of dumb to say he's "welcome" when they don't have a scholarship for him.

If he'd told them he was returning in December or January, that's one thing. No one is holding a scholarship for a kid until April, we don't even know if he'll get his eligibility yet.
