Look, please sign him to a ten year extension

There's no reason to. I think he's been okay but he doesn't need a raise or extension.. If someone wants to pay more, let them take him.

Yes, if you remove Sark's first year, keep the one he was in the Big 12, remove Kiffin's first two seasons, and keep Kelly's entire tenure.

Those types of caveats.

Yeah, I’ve wondered if this would be a hang up with top tier programs that might prevent one of those programs from hiring him. Of course, we’re in an era where a program can often be turned around quickly due to the portal, so maybe a program hires him with the thought that he won’t be there for many years but he could have a lot of success in his relatively short tenure.

No, start them at the same period. The same year. Kelly has underperformed Ole Miss. That's not the LSU I remember from a decade ago.

For God's sake y'all got whooped by Napier last year, not sure how much more evidence you need.

Possibly.

He's just so expensive too. He has a $10 mil buyout after Dec 1, $13 mil before. He already makes like $9 mil per so you'd have to outbid that and any counters.

That's a lot of cash for a 65 year old with 2 years of P4 experience.

And still, you're giving Kiffin two years to rebuild and Sark gets a year to rebuild and a year in the Big 12 while Kelly's results count from day 1.

Ole Miss has played weaker schedules, generally. LSU is 2-2 vs Ole Miss since Kelly joined. Kiffin is doing a great job, especially on the portal/NIL front, which is why LSU has hired several of their front office personnel.

Kelly is also 3-1 vs Napier; meanwhile Sark just lost to him.

There's never a completely fair way to compare, so I just compare each coach at his job, entire tenure.

No I'm simply comparing the time frame they've been here.

But like I said, please throw all your support behind him. Most of the conference agrees that you should simply give the mid-60s dude who's never won shite just a bit longer to get it all in place.

No reason to make a strawman argument.

Using your methodology, he's won just as much as the head coach at Alabama over the same time period.

ULL graduates aren't usually LSU fans but maybe he is.

Neither are Southern Miss grads, but here you are.

Alabama head coach: .771, 37 wins

Now we've reached the point where you have to combine Saban and DeBoer to compare to Kelly.

How did BK break you so hard?

A lot of Southern Miss grads are Bama or LSU fans.

Mostly because they usually come from the Coast and there are a lot of transplants there.

Also, because Tuscaloosa and Baton Rouge are closer than Starkville or Oxford, to most of those areas.

Who is the Alabama head coach?

It isn't Saban.

If you start Kelly's clock in year 3, when DeBoer was hired at Alabama, they have the same record.

Did LSU hire BK with the intent of being an underdog to Vandy?

What are you talking about? You said the Alabama head coach in the same time period. That's 2022.

You're all over the place.
