So are they just supposed to give up when the ball carrier goes low?
Form tackling involves keeping your eyes on whatever you're tackling. Contact begins with the facemask, not the crown. Tilt your head back an inch and you remove the risk of a compression spinal injury and don't get penalized.
Lower your head and you risk paralysis and get a penalty to try to teach you to tackle safely.
If that means the runner gains another yard or two... that's the game now.

You mean the best player that lost to FSU, Ole Miss, and Alabama?

Lol the whole thread is a melt by your whiny bitchass fans.

True. The best player in the country has been helpless when his defense is on the field.
Perhaps Brian Kelly should have let him play some cornerback as well.

So we can agree that Brian Kelly is a shitty coach that had some fluke wins because he had some players carry over some decent defensive skills from prior coaching?

Everyone responding to this as if it's for/against Alabama is a fricking moron with no ethics. This isn't about who LSU was playing in either game.
I can't stand Kelley or LSU, but everything he said here is true.
The way the targeting rules are being applied right now, you can have hits that would get you ejected in the NFL in the 80s allowed, while guys who are just trying to make a tackle accidentally make helmet contact with ball carrier (who also lowered and led with his head) gets you ejected.
Take the teams and coaches out of it. The rule is absurd

They really do deserve each other. It's a perfect fit. Both lifelong excuse makers.
The best part is Beedense thinks that little munchkin of a coach they got going “off” impresses or means anything to anyone but LSU fans desperate to cope

I’m laughing honestly lol. It’s easy to trigger the soft ones. We have people in here trying to teach ethics because of one play in a football game. Hell Bryce Young took the same hit in the Tennessee game last year and didn’t even get a roughing call.

Truth.
It's wild that so many Bama fans are melting about it.
They would probably agree with what he said, if they could get over their emotions.

I remember Alabama fans absolutely melting over the officiating in that game.

It’s not rocket science. In this instance, Intentionally trying to injure another player in a game is not only unethical, it was orchestrated by the morally bankrupt Alabama coaching staff.

Lol keep crying about it if that’s what you think. Have a good one and enjoy the ReliaQuest Bowl.

Bless your pathetic little weak heart

All Dallas Turner did was hit your QB hard like he’s supposed to.
But maybe this is the post that will allow you to cope

It is pretty amazing how completely bitch-made these LSU fans are now. It's no wonder they are so invested in women's sports.

It’s fantastic to witness. Schadenfreude at its finest. You can’t pay for this sort of entertainment
Beedense will never get over the loss to Alabama and will only be able to focus on his perceived injustice as a means to cope

Great image capture, NuyenHuntsville. We can all clearly see that Turner's feet were still on the ground during initial contact. So there clearly was no launching of his body.
Additionally, far from spearing Daniels with the crown of his helmet, it can be clearly seen that Turner was turning his head to listen to something that Daniels was whispering to him.
No way that is targeting or even a dirty hit of any type. It was barely a late hit; that probably should not have even been called.
Maybe Chip Kelly is being physically threatened by a certain subset of violent LSU fans to make the statement he made. We can't rule that out.
