Some personal things going on with Sully that might want him to put Gaineville in the rear view...or perhaps he wants to stay to avoid a look into this...

Kind of joking but UF will not lose him over money. But having said that, any coach might leave over almost any
reason that is important to him.
I'm not saying Florida is poor, by any means.

But we're talking LSU and BASEBALL.
It wouldn't surprise me, not completely, if the next baseball coach is the second highest paid guy on campus. There are people here that consider baseball at least equal to basketball. That dynamic simply doesn't exist anywhere else, except maybe Vanderbilt.

There are many places that consider baseball better or at least equal to basketball. Texas, A&M, and hell half of the schools in the state come to think of it. Back West baseball is huge as well, especially in CA. Same goes for the state of Florida.

Anywhere that has an extended season would apply

LSU for sure gonna make the tourney now

That was the plan. Best coaching decision he has made all year. Plus it motivates the guys a little more wanting to send CPM out on a good note.

Maybe if we were bidding on a microscope but we don’t spend our money on nerd shite.

Athletic department has cash to burn.

Don’t understand leaking Sully while he’s still playing. Something doesn’t add up here

He gone. Sully to Lsu. Woodward doesn’t mess around. Time to bump all the hate he’s received from Lsu fan and posts about CPM > Sully.

Funny... LSU will take any baseball coach it wants, yes even Florida's.

We all have SEC money, it's a matter of how much you value the baseball program.

This.

In 2019, UF was #9 and LSU #10 in revenue produced with less than 2 million separating them.

The larger point is that LSU has proven to not be cheap when it comes to spending on what they value.

Meanwhile, UF spent less than any other program in the top 10 in revenue. Uf has the $, but are they willing to loosen the purse strings.

Yeah. LSU football and LSU baseball carry the same prestige and so do Saban and O'Sullivan. Great comparison.

Tell us why Sully would rather stay at Florida instead of going to LSU then.

Idk if Sully is going to leave UF the year after getting the stadium he's been fighting for.

If he leaves probably has to do with something outside of the baseball UF sphere and if so good for him.

UF would be in a very good position to hire if he goes

I'm not sure he would leave either. But, it's not like it's some crazy notion. I guarantee he would listen.

I don't even really want him to be the coach at LSU. He's not in my top 3.

Just got a new stadium currently a better team.

Relatively less pressure/ more anonymity then dealing with 3 million angry Cajuns every time he takes a loss. No one demanding he win the CWS every other year or be on the hot seat.

Easier to recruit in FL.

Take your pick

Unless he's a complete pussy, I doubt that this is true. Competitors want those expectations and embrace it.
