OSU canceled today the game with Illinois even though they had sufficient numbers under big10 rules.

Ryan Day wants to revisit rule.

Of course he does.

quote:

With Saturday's rivalry game against Michigan canceled, Ohio State coach Ryan Day on Tuesday said the Big Ten should revisit its rule requiring teams to play at least six games this season to be eligible for the conference championship game. Because No. 4 Ohio State (5-0) can't play Michigan because of COVID-19 issues within the Wolverines' program, the Buckeyes won't qualify under the current rule and Indiana would represent the East division against Northwestern at noon ET on Dec. 19.

I've said all along that A&M will be left out of the playoffs for a "name" unless there are upsets. There is ZERO chance Fields is left out if OSU is undefeated. Even if their schedule is garbage

If Bjork wanted to get some credibility, he'd get Sankey on board and make that offer.

The B1G is going to change the rule and allow tOSU in the CCG. They just destroyed MSU without 23 players and 3-4 coaches

aTm may get their arse kicked with less than a week to prep. But, they may pull it off if good Monday and the D show up. Would be their best chance at a CFP spot. Hard to argue they'd not belong haven beaten 2 top 10 teams and only lost to #1 early in the year

I'd love to play tOSU, even on short notice. At least then if we win, we definitely deserve our spot

A&M doesn't really want to get into the playoff. They will get embarrassed. Ohio St. will get in championship game or not anyway. It's bullshite but it's going to happen.

Agree with this. The ADs need to make it happen, no excuses.

Cincinnati canceled this weekend because of COVID issues with the team.

Why wouldn't he? Ohio State didn't make the stupid fricking rule. Day and Ohio State (along with Nebraska) have wanted to play from the get go.

I'd rather see A&M vs Ohio St game than any other game with a big ten matchup. I don't know how you go about making that happen though.

We all knew that if Ohio State got pushed out because of this rule that it would be altered. It will just be interesting to see if they try and come up with some justification or just say frick you to Indiana, deal with it
