I don't ask this to disrespect those that died in a plane crash, but do you really think that football team was effected by the women BB coaches dying in a crash? I don't.

@BOLWalsh: I sympathize w/ Oklahoma St. cause of basketball coach tragedy. But if that's your NC case drive down 15th St in Tuscaloosa.

I think it is irrelevant. You can't quantify something like that one way or another.

Basically, smelley's lil vagina started to hurt and his a-hole was all clenched up so he felt the need to run his little young and dumb mouth.

If Vandy were Bama's only loss, that means they would have beaten #1 LSU. So no, Bama would't be out of it as Smelley states.

Disagree.

I said what we would be hearing from the media in my opinion but several of the football players including Weeden said his head was not in that game...all he kept thinking about was the crash...

Low class thing for him to say. Give the bowl to Bama for the tornados. Retroactively give LSU the title for Katrina.

I'd like to see that statement in context before I call him "low class". I suspect he wasn't trying to make excuses when he said that.

So what does OSU have that Bama doesn't? Name recognition?

They do not have Smelley and his twitter account.

Unsung hero of the game: The passing game was nearly perfect in the first half for the Crimson Tide and a big reason for it was the play of tight end Brad Smelley. In the first half, he caught six passes, five went for first downs and the other was a 35-yard touchdown.

Look at Mich St and Wisconsin, they had to play each other again.

Mich St and Wisc. were in two different divisions, thus why they played again in the conference championship game.

VTech and Clemson were in two different divisions, thus why they played again in the conference championship game.

If Bama and LSU were in two different divisions no one would be complaining about them playing again because there would be a conference championship game to decide who advances. Is that the case? No it isnt.

Complete BS. Bama would have a win over LSU and the SEC Championship game.
