How did Auburn look against FAU or whoever it was? I've been traveling a lot and haven't had time to check in on the third tier bowls.

is what it is. What happens when you always have a team playing for titles.
And that's been exacerbated greatly this year with two teams making it.

Well isn't this predictable. Nobody wants to acknowledge the past few years when we ran all over the entire nation to 10-2 bowl records every year but the first time we have a bad one they're coming out the woodworks

Technically it's a tier one bowl, just like the Rose and Sugar...this year those bowls happen to be the semi final games for the CFP.

I was doing quick math. Let’s see. Ohio state, Wisconsin, penn state, micihgan state, micihgan then northwestern. I don’t know if fourth best team in big ten
But sounds good for
Then look at the conference standings. It usually gives a little better insight than you figuring up in your head.
Northwestern beat Michigan State head to head giving them the advantage in conference standings. They alos finished with a better conference and overall record than Michigan.
Do you just say stuff because it sounds good in your head, or do you do any research at all? Because they finished 4th in their conference.
But your posts sound good for
#narrative.
Look before you post. It might save you some embarrassment in the future.
The B1G finished:
1. Ohio State
2. Wisconsin
3. Penn State
4. Northwestern
5. Michigan State
This was according to how the games played out and records. You know, the stuff that matters. Exactly what kind of math do you do, anyway?

does any of the b1g teams ranked in the top 25 have a bowl game against an opponent ranked higher than them? i'll hang up and listen to your answer paul

NW was 4th in their conference, UK was 7th in theirs.
What was untrue about this?
Does anybody not look at conference standings and head to head matchups anymore? Are we reduced to just saying "Nuh uh!" and expecting everybody to believe us?
Here are the standings for both conferences:
B1G:
1. Ohio St. 12-2 (8-1)
2. Wisconsin 12-1 (9-0) (Lost to OSU in Championship game)
3. Penn St. 10-2 (7-2)
4. Northwestern 10-3 (7-2) Beat Michigan State head to head
5. Michigan State 10-3 (7-2)
SEC:
1. Georgia 12-1 (7-1)
2. Auburn 10-3 (7-1)Beat Alabama head to head
3. Alabama 11-1 (7-1)
4. LSU 9-3 (6-2)
5. South Carolina 8-4 (5-3)
6. Miss. State 8-4 (4-4)
7. Kentucky 7-6 (4-4)
Now. Will somebody please explain to me why Northwestern was not the #4 team in the BIG 10 and Kentucky was not the #7 team in the SEC?
We have a bunch of people who are dumb as a rock, or just don't want to admit when they are wrong. "Never mind the standings! We are going by feelings this year!"

I doubt it, but for some their record shows they are the best conference and are greatly overachieving. (I am guessing your post wasn't aimed at me, since I am agreeing with your point.

wasnt really aimed at anyone. i looked at this a couple days ago. the overhyped b1g got lots of gifts from the committee after being kicked to the curb

Still is the best conference

Top 4 in the ACC would go 1-3 probably 0-4 vs the SEC top 4

Certainly. When a bowl takes the #1 team from two conference, and 2 teams from one of the conferences is in the playoffs, they are actually matching up the #3 team with some other conferences #1 or #2. But, yes, I agree with your point 100%.

Two-thirds of the Big XII has played in their shite bowls before the SEC started even playing.
Most of the SEC schools are being coached in the bowls by interim coaches with staffs of GAs. But the SEC was bad this season.
