You do realize he was throwing to 2 first round talents... Laquon treadwell and Evan Engram. He can make some good throws but he can't go through progressions... and he probably doesn't give a F to learn to. He has attitude issues and i'm not sure anyone would respect him in the huddle. Being a pro QB you have to command respect. I don't think he has that "it" factor. I'm happy for him... If turns out good he should rebrand himself as Dank Kelly... instead of schwag kelly

Kelly won't have time to be an NFL QB when he's busy trying to establish his rapping career.

between rapping, machine gun spokesperson, and High school sideline enforcer he will have a very busy career.

Chad Kelly had two TDs passing, one rushing and blew out State in his only Egg Bowl on Dak's senior night. And that was a down night for him production wise. If he's a train wreck, then how do you explain that?

So by this brilliant logic, Kelly has no chance of beating out Paxton Lynch in Denver. After all, when OM and Memphis went head-to-head Lynch outplayed Kelly and Memphis won.

How did Ole Miss not win more games?

We were 1 win away from winning the West in 2015, and only one our 3 losses that season can be put anywhere near Kelly's fault. Our defense shite the bed against Memphis and Arkansas, but our offense definitely got shut down by Florida. Florida had an elite defense that season, though, and if our defense had been anywhere near competent maybe that one wouldn't haven't gotten out of hand and out of reach so quickly.

2016 was more of the same only our defense was even worse.

Why doesn't Drew Brees win more games? You gonna say he's a shite QB because the Saints can't field a defense worth playing in a Pee Wee league?

I think what's being lost in all the shite talking in this thread, is that he will have to learn the pro style offense.

The tempo and packaged plays are not common at the NFL level. Kelly, to this point, has had the luxury of not having to know too many plays. He'll get to the line make his one read and then hurry up to the line and run it again and again. An entire drive for Ole Miss might only have a handful of play calls. It's crafty and works at the college level, but you don't see NFL teams doing it.

NFL teams are much better at disguising their coverage pre-snap, and there are just fewer 'weak links' to exploit. He seldom had to call out any blocking assignments, because he'd throw a quick pass on a run call and his OL wouldn't know (or care) the difference.

He's got a great arm (maybe a tad bit too much confidence in it, but that's kind of what you want in an NFL qb). But he's going to have a steep learning curve in terms of picking up the more complex intricacies of the NFL game

and he probably doesn't give a F to learn to

Not going to go into all the other bs but the guy obsesses over film and will do everything he can to learn and operate the offense in Denver. To say he doesn't give a F to learn the offense of a NFL he was drafted to is hilarious and maybe the dumbest shite I've read on here in a while.

Ole Miss sources , or do you have personal knowledge? TBH, I'd believe you. Forgive us for not believing OM athletic sources

i'd say he probably puts more obsession in snap chatting porn stars than in film study. i could be wrong though... so could the 32 NFL teams that didn't think he was draft worthy minus the John Elway doin Jim Kelly a solid.

He has enough talent to be a Pro in the NFL, winning a starting job PROVIDED he doesn't keep being a head case.

Get his mind right, get his focus on a playbook rather than a porn star, and stay out of bar fights.

It's simple for a 45 year old man to see, a touch harder for a young 20something young man to see.

Has the Mr. Irrelevant ever become relevant? Serious question..

Mike Green (DB) (last player drafted in 2000 by Chicago Bears) started 48 games in his career and played in 104. Had two seasons where he started all 16 games. Had seasons of 100, 82, and 63 tackles. Wasn't a great player by any means, but I think he became a "relevant" NFL player for sure.

Great information

The name "Mr Irrelevant" conveys an extremely low ceiling of expectations upon the draft pick. It seems even the UDFAs have better odds at success lol.

However, Kelly is a high ceiling guy if he can keep his head on straight and he doesn't fit the bill for your typical Mr irrelevant.
