If all of the teams would go by Chickens numbers I would be for it.
We do claim some that are a stretch but we did get screwed out of some during the 60s.70s.

There isn't anything wrong with having Co-Champions pre BCS.
Ex GA Tech and Colorado, Miami/Washington.
Bama has about 6 legit Co-Champion claims plus their outright titles in 78,92,09,11,12.

It's true the 15 number is bullshite, but OP's metrics are absolutely retarded.
He has teams who went undefeated and finished unanimously #1 in every poll as "not champions" simply because of who they beat in their bowl game (which they had no control over).
Regardless, I think OP's troll post proves a great point, no matter WHAT metric you dream up for counting national titles, Alabama has by far the most, so...

This really is a tired topic.
10 years ago, Bams would fight you about it. As time goes and the Saban years turn, it seems like we care less and less and are more likely to laugh about it than get riled.

It's not that most old title claims are "farces" but they are more open to debate, particularly the older you go, the fuzzier it gets.
There are years where it was very clear who the national champ was. There are years where there were 2-3 teams who could have been it (and claim it) and there are years where there are like 4-5 teams claiming it.
OP is throwing out a ton of different program's legit national titles because of his bizarre "must play in a 1v2 bowl game" requirement.

Are you guys really still beating this dead horse? Sheesh, just accept Bama has more titles than your team any way we count them and move on. Yes, 1941 was a farce. The others are as legit as any way other teams claim them. 10 poll titles and 4 Rose Bowl titles from the 20's and 30's.

I think there needs to be a modern sports book that researches all old College NC teams 1890-1997 and lists which years had undefeated teams ranked 1-3. If neither of those teams played each other they should be named TRI or Co Champs.
For Example LSU would have 2 Co championships 1904, 1958 and 2 out right Championships 2003,2007
Bama would have about 5-6 Co championships and 5 outright titles
