, i haven't seen you make a post in a LONG time man. I'm so tired of this argument that i claim nine MNC's for my beloved Bama. Five for Bryant, one for Stallings and three for Saban. I'm just tired of it.

I hate Notre Dame as well as Notre Dame fans but I'd say their 1988 undefeated season with wins over the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 teams in the country warrants a title.

I don't question that at all. Pat Sullivan was a great player. I'm just saying that the selection system was different back then in the fact that it was done before last game of the season. Doesn't mean that he doesn't deserve it, but with the way it is done now and IF he played poorly in the Iron Bowl, he would not have gotten the trophy. Doesn't make it fair, that's just how they do it NOW, and Bama was awarded some championships before the bowl games were played, because that's how it was done then. It really doesn't even make sense how it was done then. Look at the 1966 season, and Bama was the only team that was undefeated(I read the book) and we didn't get the championship. It would have been 3 in a row............
