Here's Tennessee's claims. Shall we break these down?...

You have been reduced to deflecting.

1925 National Championship- Alabama claims they share this one with Dartmouth. Who awarded the NC? Houlgate and Helms. Houlgate started his system in 1927. So Bama won their 1925 NC using a formula that didn’t exist until 1927? Helms Athletic Foundation started in 1941. Another incredible retroactive NC.

1926 National Championship- Alabama claims they share this one with 3 other teams with equal or better records! Once again it is the Helms Athletic Foundation in 1941 that awards it!

1930 National Championship- The Davis poll says that Bama tied Notre Dame for NC this year. This was the only one to award it to Bama. Notre Dame was named NC in 6 polls! Parke Davis is another retroactive system! He (an individual, not an organization) did his in 1933!

1934 National Championship- Alabama says they share this with two other teams. The awarders are Dunkel, Williamson, and Football Thesaurus. Dunkel was an individual who came up with his own system. Williamson was a geologist who came up with his own system. Football Thesaurus first appeared in 1946!

1941 National Championship- This is a complete joke. The AP ranked Alabama 20th in the nation with 14 teams with better records in the top 20. Once again it is the Football Thesaurus that retroactively awards it. Alabama finished 3rd in the SEC that year. Mississippi State won the SEC title..yet Bama claims a National title!

They claim 17 with four being pre-poll era. Great. So what. I don’t go before 1936. That’s my preference. So that means they have 13 since 1936 which still puts them as solo #1. Those 13 are undisputed titles. If you dispute any of those 13 then you will need to dispute Tennessee in 1951.

Why are you so worried about Alabama being called out?

You can say whatever about Tennessee. We won't argue. We don't give a frick. We don't measure our self worth and dick size by false championship claims the way you Bammers do.

Bammers are the only fan base that gets upset when their bullshite claims get called. By the way, what did you say your Bammer name is?

1941 isn’t counted. Most sane Alabama fans don’t claim 1941. That year isn’t a factor. They still have 13. I guess I’ll have to list them again….

1961 - AP and UPI
1964 - AP and UPI
1965 - AP (Michigan State - UPI)
1973 - UPI (Notre Dame - AP)
1978 - AP (Southern Cal - UPI)
1979 - AP and UPI
1992 - AP and Coaches
2009 - AP and BCS
2011 - AP and BCS
2012 - AP and BCS
2015 - CFP
2017 - CFP
2020 - CFP

I’m not an Alabama fan. I’ve always respected Alabama because of their tradition, their fans, the mutual respect between both fan bases as I am Sooner Born and Sooner Bred.

Why are you so offended by facts? The truths are in the history books. The hardware exists. Go to Tuscaloosa. Give them your spiel on why Alabama’s 13 poll era national titles are not legit.

I posted the actual history book facts. You are just to much of a Bammer to accept them.

When Tennessee won the BCS title in 1998, they were second in most national championships in the SEC. Not counting Oklahoma and Texas, the Vols have slipped below LSU, Georgia, Florida, and are now tied with Auburn. At least you are ahead of Texas A&M still.

What part of "we won't argue about it, because we don't give a frick" did you fail to comprehend?

You bandwagon Bammers are the only ones that care.

I don’t have to bandwagon Alabama to enjoy success in my own team. Oklahoma can stand on its own with SEVEN undisputed national titles. Whatever history books you find factual are more of a fictional state. Do you not agree that Alabama has 13 poll era national titles? Do you dispute AP and UPI claims?

Remember, you can’t blame Alabama for 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978.

1964 - undefeated national champions decided on BEFORE bowl game results.

1965 - Michigan State, Nebraska, Arkansas all ranked above Alabama. Those three lost their bowls. This is the first year where the AP decided to name their champion after the bowls. Alabama won their bowl. Alabama vaulted to the top of the AP poll. (9-1-1) and repeat as national champions.

1973 - undefeated UPI national champions. The last year in which the UPI named their champion before the bowls.

1978 - lost early to USC. Trojans lost later. Sooners lost late to open the door for the Tide move back into title contention. Tide win AP while Trojans win UPI.

These are the facts. They CANNOT be disputed.

1964 National Championship- While the AP did award the NC to Bama (10-1-0), Arkansas had the better record, 11-0. Alabama played Texas in their bowl and LOST. The AP final poll was before the bowl. Arkansas beat Texas that year.

1965 National Championship- The AP gave this to Bama. That year there were three teams with better records than Bama. Bama 9-1-1, Michigan St 10-1-0, Arkansas 10-1-0, Nebraska 10-1-0.

quote:

1973 - undefeated UPI national champions. The last year in which the UPI named their champion before the bowls
Lost about 3 days later to the AP champ.

1973 National Championship- AP puts Bama 4th after their bowl game loss. Bama claims a NC from the UPI poll that was taken before they met Notre Dame in the bowl game and lost. There were 3 teams with better records than Bama that year. The embarrassment of naming Alabama number one caused the UPI to name champions after bowl games. Yet Bammer has no shame in claiming it of course.

There is that little got their arse beat on the field thing again.

1978 National Championship- AP gives this to Alabama(11-1-0) even though USC (12-1-0) had the better record Guess who Alabama lost to that year? USC!!!!!!!!!. UPI gave the NC to USC.
