You have to watch the games to understand and not just throw up a graph. In the first two games the Ds flooded that part of the field. PSU also played the Safeties in that part of the field. Outside the hash marks were open during those games and Nix did a decent job throwing there (WRs dropped a few). Auburn does need to run slants more to open the middle and to keep LBs honest.

That graphic is a Les Miles offense if I ever saw... He refused to throw over the middle. Les Miles famous quote "only three things can happen when you throw the ball and two of them are bad..."
