Dude no one gives af about football in past. If you’re still beating your chest about championships before 2000, you’re an absolute loser. Today’s team would absolutely break those teams, besides maybe 3 to 5. Kids are bigger, faster, and stronger now a days. Back in the day damn near 1 specific player could win any game any weekend. No way does that happen in this era. Didn’t I see a stat flying around on this board that Nebraska is 0-23 against top 25 teams going all the way back to 2016? But oh yeah so fricking blue blood bro! Go fricking finger yourself

What program are you talking about?

Thanks, but Georgia is not a blueblood. The other two? Definitely. Georgia is not, though.

I honestly can’t tell if you are trolling or actually this ignorant lol.
The term “blue blood” in college football directly relates to the past, so you can’t talk shite on college football teams prior to 2000 AND try and make arguments for teams who do and do not have blue blood status in college football.

I figured that is maybe the only program ole miss and mizzo have more modern wins. Other than that neither have more wins than blue blood status teams even in modern college football.

In the traditional sense this is the correct answer. However, I would say at some point teams have to lose that BlueBlood status. Nebraska should lose theirs. USCw, too. Texas on the verge if they don't win something of significance soon. The others are safe for the time being, but even Notre Dame would be in a little trouble.
OSU, Michigan and Alabama are easily the safest.

Georgia is currently experiencing their best period in their history for sure. But where were they in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 1984-2016? Georgia has THREE national titles which is still ONE less than Minnesota and the Gophers haven’t won a conference title since 1967 and national title since 1960.
Minnesota is used as a metric because they haven’t been relevant in nearly sixty years but still have more national titles than some current winners such as Georgia.
BLUE BLOODS and current ranking:
1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Oklahoma
4. Southern Cal
5. Notre Dame
NEXT TIER:
6. Nebraska
7. Michigan
8. Texas
9. LSU
10. Georgia
11 Penn State
12. Florida
13. Florida State
14. Miami
15. Clemson
16. Tennessee

FWIW, Penn St has passed Nebraska in wins and win percentage.

Chatgpt says:
Alabama
18 claimed national titles, Bear Bryant & Nick Saban eras, dynasty status in multiple eras.
Ohio State
Consistent top-10 finishes for decades, 8 national titles, massive national brand.
Notre Dame
11 national titles, unmatched historical significance, iconic brand even without a conference.
Michigan
All-time wins leader, multiple titles, massive stadium and fanbase, prestige from early dominance.
Oklahoma
7 national titles, longest winning streak in CFB history, elite across multiple decades.
USC
11 national titles, multiple Heisman winners, West Coast dominance, Hollywood mystique.
Texas
Huge brand, national titles, money, and recruiting base — even with modern inconsistency.
Personally I don’t care. It doesn’t guarantee success. It’s just a topic to debate.

Thank you someone reasonable. At some point teams are gonna have to drop their status. How many of these schools national titles are even real? I could sit here all day and say well ole miss claims 3, which it’s zero you could count the 61 title I guess. But if there’s no national titles in this l century or in modern college football which takes way more skill and rostering managing than back then you probably shouldn’t be beating your chest about being a blue blood

Not trying to pick a fight with LSU fans, because LSU can stand on their own history...but...what criteria did you use to place them at 9 and Georgia at 10?
Posted on 11/2/25 at 4:22 pm to DawgsLife
LSU and Georgia are interchangeable when it comes down to it. LSU is ahead based on one more title. Before LSU’s 2019 title and UGA’s back-to-back titles, LSU, UGA, Florida were hard to rank because of how even it was between the three. Now it’s clearly LSU then Georgia or Georgia then LSU.

This. Has less to do with most recent records and more to do with tradition and, as an unofficial barometer, who turns on the TV sets.
I’d argue a couple more should be in here though. LSU, maybe Penn St.

Nobody is going to "lose" their blueblood status, because you can't just delete history.
If you want to do better than Nebraska, then win more Natties. They've got 5. Their history ranks 3rd in the SEC, ahead of LSU, Georgia, and Texas.
Do they suck right now? ya, but you can't just ERASE history like the OP wants to do ("lets start at 2000")
