If Paul leaves he better bring Vickers aboard.. That show has been missing Vickers for a long time.

Just what Birmingham needs... another station for Legend to call 3 or 4 times a day.
Just curious if any other SEC town has serial callers to their local radio shows.
serial callers all over the place in columbia

It will be difficult to beat the established OD though
I disagree. The OD is an abomination. Curry is obnoxious. Everyone gets their feelings hurt too easily and they lose their professionalism if they're ever question or disagreed with over the air. They get bent and yell over the caller.

Dammit, the Buck was one of my presets.

Trade the OD for Eli and Stan White, and JOX would be 100x better.
Surprisingly though, of the non ESPN branded radio stations out there that only play ESPN Radio shite, JOX is probably the best...

Anyone that likes Rick and Bubba needs to be kicked in the crotch. Repeatedly.

This. People that like that show are the people that keep assholes like Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall in business.

I liked the way it was before Ian Fitzsimmons left: Lance and Ian on the Roundtable and Dunaway and Brown with their own show. It's kind of awkward now that they merged. Also, the OD was funny when Tony Kurre was trying to corrupt Jay Barker, but he seemed to give that up a while ago.

They are targeting a specific backwoods trailer park audience for sure.

I heard something on Finebaum the other day about how the new station wouldn't let Timmy Brando be a guest on Finebaum anymore. Good riddance.
And for everyone who said the Roundtable is the best show on, I fully agree. I rarely listen to the Opening Drive anymore. They're just too boring. And I keep it tuned in for Finebaum if there has been any big news that day. Other than that, I'll stick with the Roundtable.

I like the roundtable but everything else is garbage. Finebaum is just a radio Jerry Springer where it's all about entertainment value. Never listen to the OD. When I'm in my car i listen to ipod anyway so I only listen to Jox in the work truck.
And for future reference, what are some good country stations since the Buck is gone?

You got it backwards.. Tim Brando's show is now on the new station. The Jox suits decided to be dicks and ban him from appearing on Finebaum. Brando is probably Finebaum's longest running regular guest, so it pissed Paul off pretty badly.

102.5 and 104.7 are the big ones. I think there's another one down around 96 but I can't remember right now.

Ah, the suits. Good old Haney. He's going to run Paaaaawl off soon.

if you have ever met Curry in person Hunter, you would know that your statement doesn't even scratch the surface.

I don't think it was Haney. I think it was the new ownership of the station. Brando has been a long time guest on Jox for as long as I can remember. I know I have heard him on the Roundtable before
