It was the most-watched CFB game last week. So relatively speaking it was a big number.

For a CBS game, the overall ratings were nothing special. The normal 2:30 PM CT CBS game typically brings in between 4-6 million viewers.... mid 4 million's is pretty standard. Certainly nothing big.

Five million viewers is really the goal that CBS would want to hit each week. As far as regular season games go, they've only managed to hit 5 million once so far this year.... they did it 5 times in 2020... 8 times in 2019.... 7 times in 2018, etc.

They should hit the five million threshold twice this weekend.

And its not just Alabama games. I live here and everyone watch college football from 11 am to midnight every Saturday.

I mean, yeah, that's what we do. I think in a lot of ways it holds Birmingham back. It's usually very easy to get a reservation at a nice restaurant on a Saturday night in the fall because everyone is home or at a friend's home watching football.

I spoke to an uber driver once who said they stopped even trying to drive on Saturdays during the Fall because there was just hardly ever anyone needing rides. Everyone stays home and watches football all day.

Interesting that schools from a state of almost 40 million people...Stanford and UCLA...only had a little over 3 million combined.

Ten million people living in Los Angeles County, and only 600,000 nationwide watched UCLA.

Even the people on the West Coast don't give a shite about Pac-12 football.

Nope.

Wrong again.

The number on the far right represents the viewers vs. the 2019 viewership (since 2020 was an anomaly ratings wise) for the same CBS time slot.

This year's Bama vs. Ole Miss game had 34% more viewers.
