One of my friends used to live in Mobile and said it was more Alabama than Auburn. Is Mobile more Alabama or Auburn?

ok thanks... I also used to know the family that developed the big mall, the highway is named after the dad if I remember correctly. They were big Auburn fans, maybe thats why I thought it was an aubie city.

There are a lot more successful Auburn fans in the Birmingham area than poor ones.

I live in Bham so here are my thoughts...

Wal-Marks crowd - Bama

Educated and well to do - Auburn

Most populous other fan base - LSU

Auburn does have a lot of successful fans in Bham Area. The hwy 280 area, Mountain Brook, Vestavia etc.

The Gump and to some extent Huntsvill becuase of all the engineers are Auburn cities.

The Gump is easily the worst state capitol of all the 50 states though.

Just about the entire high school ends up at Bama, not sure why you'd think it's an Auburn area. Same way for Vestavia and Mt Brook.

Bham= Alabama by far
Montgomery= barn
Huntsville= barn
Mobile= Alabama, with LSU fighting with AU for 2nd

I'd go with
Bham- Bama
Montgomery - Aub
Huntsville - Bama
Mobile- pretty even split between Bama/AU with a decent amount of LSU/FSU/UF fans.

If you know much about Birmingham, being in the majority there is not a good thing.
