and I don't know that A&M would fire a basketball coach one year removed from a Sweet Sixteen

there is next to no chance that billy is here next year if buzz or musselman are willing to come. if not, there is a chance depending on how this year ends

You’re stupider than I thought if you believe that 7- and 8-figure coaching moves come from the same wallet as academic funding.

No shite, Sherlock, I'm well-aware.

But it doesn't look good to throw around millions for athletics (albeit privately funded), then beg for a taxpayer bailout for academics... Especially on the heels of needing an interest-free loan from academics to bail out athletics just a few years ago.

Capice?

On the flip side of that, UT athletics has transferred $50 million from athletics to academics over the past five years.

I don't think CGSC EVER liked the Kennedy hire.

If that's the way you want to play it, fine. You fricking t-sips didn't need that $55 million reserve. In fact, you should be 100% privately funded, or shut the frick up.

By the way, shut the frick up, Randy.

Really? Tell the class how many years ago. Randy.

There is no motivation by the University.
You can huff and puff all you want with all your alters to make A&M sound like they are doing big things.

No one is willing to take a 2 million dollar loss on a basketball coach.
Especially one that is your most successful coach in history.

I never liked the idea of hiring from a 1-bid league to a Power 6 conference.

Gillispie and Turgeon at least came from mid-majors.

Kennedy isn't even close to the most successful coach in A&M history.

He has just over 140 wins in 8 years.

Gillispie had 70 in 3
Turgeon had over 100 in 4

Now project both coaches over 8 years and their records CRUSH Kennedy.

A&M is going to fire Kennedy and hire a new coach after this season.

That, and the guy who was banned from Twitter (for threatening to strangle people with klan robes) trying to lecture aggy on “how things look”.

Donavan is not going to aTm.

You thought Kennedy’s brand of ball is boring, then why in the sam hell you would want Buzz?

ATm Basketball fans are delusional.

I know you're being sarcastic but they really do have a nice young core and are one year removed from a Sweet Sixteen

Flagg, Mitchell, Starks, Nebo will win them some games next year. Starks will also lose them some games.
