New QB.

4th year junior in the 2nd year of the offense. You see these kinds of players have success all the time.

New RB.

One sophomore was the #1 RB recruit, the other was in the top 10 and played a lot in 2019. The 3rd had a great game vs Oklahoma. We are fine at RB.

Pretty much an entirely different O-Line.

Left tackle started 5 games last year. Left guard started every game in 2018 i believe and played last year after suspension. Center/Guard has played and started a lot of games. Right guard will be between a 5 star redshirt freshman, a 4 star or grad transfer that has started 30 games. Right tackle returns.

There is not a logical way to reason that LSU will be in national championship contention other than having a talented roster.

Sure there is. Just because we lost players doesn't mean that the backups didn't see heavy minutes. We won 10 games in 2018 with less experience returning on offense and this is year 2 of a better offense. We've been repeatedly telling y'all this, but you seem to have your minds made up just like last off-season when people doubted us.

So your entire view is based on what each team has done against LSU. And that doesn’t seem flawed to you?

What will hurt us is this damn virus. We definitely could have used the practice reps and the players being able to get together on their own. It will be interesting to see how we come together with whatever practice time we get before the season.

Lost a good bit on the defense. WRs, best RB, I think some OL.

LSU will have to reload. They don’t belong in OP.

I don’t think we will contend for the NC in 2020. Too many changing parts on offense and a pandemic interrupted any spring and possibly summer time to get in synch

Probably more of a bottom half of the top 10 kind of team. Maybe catch a few breaks and we could be in the playoff conversation.

ANOTHER BILL BENDER BIT OF IDIOCY

Has Kellen Mond as #4 QB with Sunshine #1 of course.

George George George! Bill Bender said only 5 teams could win the natty

George George George! Bill Bender said Alabama was one of those teams

George George George! That means the Tide is still relevant

Look up Bill Bender’s predictions since 2007 when this Spazz started covering CFB

Thanks for making my evening!

I was thinking along this same line.

Personally, I think OSU wins it this year.

However, I have these 4 points that have me rethinking our Repeat chances.

1. No coach shows a better ability to change and adapt to tough circumstances than Ed Orgeron.

2. Outstanding coaching, esp on Defense

3. Elite PLUS talent at key SCORING positions (QB, WR, RB)

4. Elite talent at SCORING PREVENTION positions to keep scores low

5. The schedule is easier on us this time around with fewer Top 10 teams and many SEC teams reloading (in state of flux)

Even numbered years are always tough with Auburn and Florida on the road. There's a reason we haven't ever won the West in an even numbered season. But, getting Texas and Bama at home should be a plus even though our recent record vs Bama in TS would suggest otherwise.

Florida, Bama and Auburn are LSUs 3 toughest games. I could see LSU dropping 2 of those games and back in a NY6 game again. That is my prediction for the tigers in 2020

If UGA is on that list, then Florida should be too.

Florida will have a very good team next year.

They have to prove they can beat us, and then win the SEC, before making such a list.

I agree. Though it would be a bit crazy to claim UF hasn't shown huge steps forward the past two seasons. Last year our two loses are @LSU vs the best LSU team in history and we damn sure fought. Second was in Jacksonville in a brutally ugly game. Beat Auburn by double digits in a good game and finished the year 11-2 with a BCS bowl win.

So we know Florida is close. Just need to see if we can take that next step. Which is either beating Georgia or winning the East(hopefully both). Georgia has a tougher schedule with both Auburn and Bama.

Our depth is far better than it was two years ago. We have a lot more blue chips. Recruiting hasn't gotten back to where it was under Meyer, but its far better now than three years ago(now 4 five stars on the roster and our two deep at least is full of 4 stars instead of 3 stars).

A lot of UF fans, and some pundits seem to believe this is the year UF breaks through that final step. Which is I believe fair to think..but we cant assume it either.

The division is Georgia's until we take it. Hopefully we do.

I can’t imagine why Florida would be left off of that list. Have to believe they will be favored to win the east this year.

There’s a big gap between having a shot at winning the East and winning the NC.

College football has essentially become the SEC along with Ohio State and Clemson

Nothing new about that. Alabama and Clemson have been in every playoff save one each and the two have won more games and titles than ay other team. I think Ohio State and Oklahoma are next in number of playoffs and I doubt OU is going away
