So tell us why Saban couldn't have had the same success at LSU as Alabama.

It isn't that hard of a question. No reason to continue deflecting.

Back to back national champs but our starting QB got hurt in the second quarter and LSU won in a close game.

Three national titles in the 60s. Broyles went to the grave not watching a replay of that game. He was never the same.

We would win a lot but probation baby!

Nutt would still have his typical hangover win and lose against State and LSU. Nutt was never going to win out.

We would turn it over on downs late in the fourth when Casey Dick had a career day of 40 yards passing.

We weren't going to win against Bama unless we had a running game and Knile Davis wasn't at his best at that time. We weren't going to win without Mallet.

LSU was a different program pre Saban.

What advantage does Alabama have over LSU after Saban had been at LSU say 4 years?

I know it's hard to believe because you want it be no barrier between LSU and Alabama perception wise. That's not the reality of it, we're had this argument before, it's the intangibles that Bama has LSU doesn't.

No different from comparing LSU to Georgia the last 20 years. Wouldn't you say Georgia has the same resources as LSU probably more in state talent so why does LSU have 3 titles?

Is Baton Rouge better than Athens to live?

Does LSU offer a better education?

Is the quality of life better in Louisiana?

I would take Georgia in all area, but that program has no identity it copies everyone else. LSU has its identity Bama has it own.

Steve Atwater was a dropped interception away from winning that game. Miami kicked a field goal and won 18-16.

Like what?

A lot of talk come from Bammers about "muh intangibles" but there aren't many hard facts and reality included.

Because he didn't have the same success, on any level. Get it yet?

Intangibles don't need to be explained, whether it's luck, good fortune or the right place at the right time.

Georgia doesn't flip Beck we don't get Tua.

Bama doesn't win 2017

Georgia Wr doesn't catch that tip that ball in SEC championship it's Georgia vs Notre Dame.

LSU being the only 2 loss National Champion but Auburn didn't even get a chance going undefeated during that same 5 year period.

So what makes LSU better than Georgia right now?

Thats been explained earlier in this topic.

He wasn't recruiting at the same level early on at LSU because he didn't have the SEC connections.

He also didn't have a national title to his name, he also hadn't been an NFL head coach at that point.

No it's within the context of the conversation that Sidewalker alluded to.

Wouldn't you say Georgia has just as good of resources as Alabama and LSU? Probably better quality of life around the campus also?

So what makes LSU and Alabama better?

How does LSU win championships when Georgia hasn't since 1980? It's a fair question

I totally get where you're coming from Sidewalker and your points are valid.

Still that doesn't explain why Bama and have titles and Georgia doesn't. Wouldn't you say Coach O and Saban on different sides of the coaching spectrum?

Even with Georgia vast resources they haven't won one in 40 year?

Again what makes LSU better than Georgia?

As of late, Georgia has won more consistently than LSU, just haven't won a title.

Stop being slippery, LSU is a better program...so why? I mean you always asked the same question to "Bammers" in regards to LSU.

Name one thing LSU has advantages over Georgia?

Again you're being slippery Les Miles won that Championship with 2 losses. Something we'll never see again.

Joe Burrow: Matthew Stafford was also a #1 pick.

Okay? Again, Georgia has won just as consistently since 2000 as LSU and even more so lately.

They just haven't won championships which takes a bit of luck in and of itself.

Stafford wasn't nearly as good as Burrow but you know this.

That's debatable, Burrow also played with a First round RB and 3 Wrs along with a TE with a NFL pedigree.
