I see your point. And also, David Palmer played pretty amazing as his backup.

1982 - Orange Bowl bound LSU was beaten by a Tulane team whose only other wins were Rice, Memphis, and Baylor.

Didn't Alabama have a 28 game winning streak until then?

Jay Barker got hurt really early in that game

Barker was hurt in the Tennessee game a few weeks earlier. He didn't dress for the LSU game nor the Southern Miss game the week before when Brian Burgdorff was Alabama's QB and won 40-0.

been racking my brain for late season SEC vs SEC huge upsets but can only come up with OOC games:

1970 Sou Miss 30-14 over #4 Ole Miss
1981 1-10 Ga Tech 24-21 over 9-1-1 SEC co-champ Alabama
1982 4-7 Tulane 31, #7 and 8-1-1 LSU 28

I know they say "throw out the record book" in the Iron Bowl, but 4-6 Alabama beating 8-3 Auburn 17-15 in '84 was a pretty big upset.

Wrong Way Bo, 1984 - 4 win Alabama (1 SEC win) beats Bo Jackson's Auburn, denying them the SEC Championship.

If Tim Rattay was there in 99 then yes but I'm not sure if he left in 98 or 99.

Auburn over Florida in 2001? I think Auburn was a 27 point underdog in that game.

I was getting wasted watching that fiasco....some games are meant to be lost. Rex Grossman heaving up ducks in 45-55 mph wind and wasnt that the night the AU library caught on fire? Spurrier said something about AU lost 3 coloring books and one hadnt been colored in yet...classic Spurrier.

SEC vs non SEC would be Bama winning the Rose Bowl in the 1920's

SEC vs SEC might be the Kentucky vs Ole Miss game back in the late 50's or early 60's when UK was still bad and Ole Miss was in the Top 5 or so in the country.

How about the game that started the BCSCG streak? UF - OSU 06

Fricking ESPN was talking up a OSU-Michigan rematch right up until UF curb-stomped them.

Was Louisiana Tech any good in 99 when they beat eventual SEC champion Bama?

Apparently a tad bit better than the Gators. Even with 2 chances.

Sometime in the 40's a winless Auburn team beat an undefeated UGA team.
