No you can't. You can revisionist claim whatever you want. Neither team knew or even thought a rematch was possible. For all intents and purposes, the first game was as big, if not bigger, than the second. You won the later one. Congrats. You can't get any other inch. Bama was at least as good as LSU last year based on the evidence.

Hell yeah! I agree! Just doesn't bring the best out in the fans. Sometimes it's hard to be reasonable with each other because we can forget the fundamental part of its just a game. A game that all fans in the south are very passionate about and it's what makes the game great. The Passion. I'm a fairly young guy been around for nearly three decades, I've seen shitty things and I've seen great things that come from fans. I try my best not to be too far from level headed. The only reason I've ever join these piss matches is because I don't like the way others try to take away the accomplishments of the team I support. As the same way any fan shouldn't do to another. 11/5 was a great win for y'all and 1/9 was for us. That's why I am looking forward to the season because we can almost start from scratch. Then we can do it all over again in early January in Miami.

Then you will hear the "we beat our selves" which has been posted in this thread and all over SECr. So you did not play your best and didn't try hard enough to win the game (rolled over). Then you think that you deserve to be in the championship game and press the pollsters to vote you into it.

Anyone who thinks about it disputes that. I concede what I must. Based on the evidence, Bama was at least as good as LSU.
Good thing Bama fans aren't concerned with baseball. Could you imagine a three game series with Auburn that goes 3-1 2-17 7-4. AU wins 2 of 3 but the aggregate score gives Bama the win and solidifies them as the best team. We don't do that in any other sport (because it is asinine).

The absurdity of bhamdore's statement is what should be pointed out here. And again, is indicative to the "T" of why people collectively roll their eyes at Alabama fans.

it will be another good one. Hopefully our fans will learn some humility from the experience. My fear is that LSU fans will be more insufferable because of the bullshite that has gone on on this board. Son of a bitch; somebody hit the Bama bat signal on this thread. Winning a National Title and still upset over 11/5. I would have taken a loss on 11/5 and a win in the NC game and called it day and wouldn't think twice about it, but what do you expect...

The best team deserves to be in the National Title game. That is why the BCS was invented. You can throw out schedules, look at OKSU and Bama and everyone not blind by hate for Alabama (when you're the best everyone is going to hate you) could tell you Alabama was far better.
It's obvious everyone is going to keep arguing this until 11/3, but who cares? The season is OVER. It isn't going to change. The SEASON. IS. OVER.

I'm not gonna argue with ignorant people. The season is over. Your all mighty team got exposed. That season is over. Bama was the best team. Bama won the National Title. I'm looking forward to 11/3, if you wanna keep looking back then so be it.
It's amazing. People talk about Bama fans living in the past, but so many people (Bama fans included) can't get over last season.
