Here’s another stat for you. Home Wins against final ranked teams since the 1980s:
39- Florida
36- Alabama
31- LSU
30- Auburn
24- Texas A&M
23- Tennessee
21- Georgia
Obviously Georgia is hurt by playing UF every year away from home, but so is Florida and they still came out first. Georgia’s home field advantage is just so not impressive considering their overall success.
Here is Win% against ranked teams at home during the same period:
53.4%- Florida
51.4%- Alabama
42.6%- LSU
40.7%- Auburn
39.6%- Georgia
36.5%- Texas A&M
31.0%- Tennessee

This has got to be the worst analysis I’ve ever seen.

Auburn, LSU and Florida have the loudest stadiums. LSU always gets the credit, Florida when they are good, and Auburn is considered underrated. Which means one of the best but we dont want to give them credit
Not sure about where Texas and Oklahoma but theyre not in the SEC yet

It also shows why Georgia fights hard to keep the game against Florida in Jacksonville.
quote:
Looking at games against ranked opponents only… comparing home winning % to road winning % and taking the difference… since the 1980s
1. Florida (25.1%)
53.4% home win% vs 28.3% road win%
2. LSU (16.2%)
42.6% home win% vs 26.4% road win%
3. Auburn (13.6%)
40.7% home win% vs 27.1% road win%
4. Alabama (9.9%)
51.4% home win% vs 41.5% road win%
5. Tennessee (3.4%)
31.0% home win% vs 27.6% road win%
6. Georgia (1.7%)
39.6% home win% vs 37.9% road win%

This ties out with what I'd think... FL, LSU, AU
Surprised Bama isn't last in the Big 6 for this. Is a somewhat sterile atmosphere vs. some of these places.
Guessing MSU may be up there also.
Vandy/OM probably don't register.
You want to see the most sterile atmosphere ever go to a Giants game lol. Girl I knew bought one for her and her boyfriend to go and they broke up so I went for free. You could hear a pin drop most of the game. Awful

That statistic will change for Alabama's ratio, now.
