For once in my life, I finally agree with something ForeverGator is saying.

A&M and Miss State then the rest. LSU overachieved. We did think that our pitching might have a chance to carry us, but actually it was quite the opposite. I think we thought if we make a regional it would be a great season.

I realize Ole Miss won 43 regular season games but they are in no way the biggest bust. We were always a team that had to play at the top of our game to win against good teams. We did that a lot but come on. State, TAMU, and SC were all good enough to win the CWS. Ole Miss and LSU weren't. TAMU was easily the best team we played this year so I'll go with them.

It really is amazing how little the posters here follow baseball until their team is halfway decent.

Going in to the year A&M had to replace their entire rotation & 3 of their top 4 hitters. We had high expectations, but we were far less of a sure thing than Vandy or Florida.

Underachieving is our thing. It's a tradition.

Have to go with A&M with MSU in a close second. LSU and USC overachieved, I think. We knew Ole miss would flame out. And Vandy...... entirely understandable there.

Vandy was the disappointment of the season. They had 3 guys taken on the first day. A&M didn't have a single current player taken on the first day of the draft.

The team you are playing in Omaha is pretty good.

Wat. Vandy also lost its entire rotation from last year, as well as its SS (the top pick in the draft), its 1B, and right fielder to the draft. Anyone actually paying attention knew Vandy was talented but likely too young for another trip to Omaha.

A&M. State had 0 preseason 1st or 2nd team all SEC players. Single digit SEC wins last year. If someone said State would win the SEC & host a Super. I would have wanted what they were smoking.
