DGB was an athletic freak while Dyer was not. As a RB, Dyer had to excel in college to get drafted high. As a 6'6 WR with speed, DGB could have exercised and worked at McDonald's for 3 years and still get drafted.
McDonald's would be an excellent place to store up one's talents while waiting to be NFL draft eligible.
Personally, I think the current system sucks balls. These kids don't want to go to school. They have no choice but to bide their time and wait until they are finally draft eligible. I'm not excusing acting like an immature idiot when you're 18, 19, 20 years old. But I also don't think it's right that unlike major league baseball these kids don't have an option to go pro right out of high school. I'd rather college football have players that actually want to go to school and aren't just playing it lip service while waiting for the NFL payday.

agree with this, they shouldn't have to go to college

I think the answer Is Dyer because if he stays clean and plays on Gus' offense for a full 4 years his stock would be much higher as a pro prospect than what it is now.

Talking shite about a coach you lost to someone else

i don't understand all the anger in this thread- much worse threads have been started, much bitchier threads have been started.
it seems like it's basically just a bowl losers support group in here and by support i mean venting- let it out folks. lat's shoulders are strong enough to bear the weight of your losses.

Barners are sensitive and I can't blame them, if my coach's win total dropped by 4 from the 1st to the 2nd year I'd be pissed too.

How is a guy with over 3,000 career rushing yards a waste of talent?

Unfortunately, Dyer was hurt most of his time at Louisville. He finally got healthy midway towards the season and had impressive games against NC State and FSU. Could not overcome the injury bug though. Good kid who never had any trouble while he was here.
