quote:I find this essentially impossible to believe.
BIg 12 actually makes more money than the sec per school.
it seems I'm right
quote:even if your inviso-money figure is accurate, it puts the richest big12 school $7+mil behind the poorest sec school.
BIg 12 conference money doesn't include tier three rights. For OU that is another 12 -15 mil.
and by all accounts, this wealth gap is growing.

Another quote: nice find Bfniii. SEC is raking it in..

For another point of comparison, consider that the SEC's 2016 revenue was roughly two-thirds of the $952 million that the NCAA reported on its most recently available tax returm, which covered a period ending Aug. 31, 2015.

They live in a fantasy land bro, and I believe they got their financial records from bernie madoff. Lol. They're so full of shite. They just spout bs like it's fact and when you disprove them with actual facts they deflect. They're so fricking little league that it makes me laugh. To even have a whim that the big 12 is on par with the sec in any form or fashion just shows that 1, they're jus fricking nuts, or 2, they are just so ignorant that they have no idea. Either way, it's really fun knowing that the sec has the upper hand vs the big 1 and we can prove it through facts. It's just fun watching them defend their shitty conference til death. Lol, frick the big 12.

sec network destroying big 10 in valuation
Big12 not even on the map. Some serious delusion going on

Would one of the big12 supporters post head to head conference records, bowl records, playoff records, etc, for the last 10-15 years? Or just keep making subjective claims. Whichever

It's a lost cause bro. I've been there, done that. They don't listen to facts. They're just convinced, regardless of the facts, that the big12 is on the same level as the SEC as a whole...it's ridiculous. They believe that bama is the only team in this conference and everyone else rides their wave to superiority. Even though the facts disprove that theory as well. Very amusing though.

Can the Texas fan that doesn't think schools are leaving because of them come back? I want to laugh some more at that comment.

its incredible how all of them will argue all day about how texas literally did nothing wrong in any fashion circa 2010 and 2011 and that anyone who thinks they did a single anything wrong, no matter how small, is an idiot who is just buying into propaganda

You're missing a really large part of the thread that is OU and UT posters trying to convince us all how awesome the big 12 is!!! It's awesome guys!!! Really!!!!
are you ever right? Both fan bases either don't really care for the conference or flat out hate it.
the responses are conversational, factual and interesting if you can put away the insecurities.

Yea and Texas am had nothing to do with it right.? I'm guessing you are one of those I was referring to. frickng mean ol Texas. I guess I'd wanna leave a conference too if I got my arse whipped every year.

Current students don't give a flying frick about Texas

By ourselves we could have done nothing.
Without Nebraska starting realignment there would have been no SEC invite because insecurity about the Big 10's moves made the conservative SEC open up.
Without Rice and Texas sponsoring us for the AAU it would have been hard to get our SEC invite.
Without Texas signing that crazy LHN contract we wouldn't have had the political cover to leave the Big 12.
By ourselves we would still be stuck in the Big 12.

Big 12 is sh!t. The conference died when McCoy went down and Saban resurrected Alabama.
Big 12 is like Walmart. There are some redeeming qualities but overall it's a dumpster fire bringing in revenue.
Majority of OU fans want out. But we will not be so lucky.

quote:what did we do in 2010 or 2011 to start the exodus of teams leaving from the big 12? Texas was working behind everyone's back and negotiating FOR OTHER SCHOOLS trying to move out west. Only to then start pushing the button on agreed upon TV rules with your network
Yea and Texas am had nothing to do with it right.
A&M didn't just wake up one day and say that it was going to the SEC. 2010 was an eye opener for how unprepared we were to handle our own shite. And then 2011 came along and you guys were once again acting like cocks with pretty much full support from the big 12 offices
quote:A&M is 100% still in the big 12 today if you guys weren't going nuts in 2010 and 2011

Do you think no conferences wants you because you have to bring Okie StTe with you or do you think just no one likes you?
I think it's partially OK state and partially the lack of TV sets in Oklahoma. However, the prestige of OU makes it a huge prize even if the numbers don't.
UT brings big numbers and prestige, but even bigger baggage. UT is shackled to Baylor (which may be tetering on the edge of the death penalty) by statute. The Longhorn Network may be a money-making machine for UT, but it also makes them basically touched by the plague for any other conference.
Until UT dismantles the Long Horn Network, they will not be welcome in any of the other P5 conferees other than the one they are in. Until UT severs their connection to Baylor, they will be even less attractive. They're like the hot girl at the dance who has two incredibly ugly sisters cock-blocking for her.

And we're all in agreement that most don't really care.
Texas was looking out for its own business interests. Assume A&M and the others who left and those who stayed were doing the same. A&M scurrying off wasn't right or wrong. It was in their best interest.
Texas didn't do anything wrong unless you are looking at it from some bizarre, chip on the shoulder, tunnel visioned viewpoint.
Is Big 12 screwed? Not hardly. Are they dominating all the other conferences in wins and money? Nope, but then what does it matter, since its schools are earning their own keep.
