I’ve never seen this type behavior for any Commish before. He is setting himself up for some legal issues as well imo. You know he likely sent word to refs to be harder on both teams leaving conf. But to openly root for and against existing conf teams playing each other is new territory.

Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark today:

“Coach (Joey McGuire), I’m not going to put any pressure on you, but I’m going to be in Austin on Thanksgiving. And you better take care of business like you did right here in Lubbock last year.”

Video of him saying it:

Tech better take care of business in Austin. I don't want that last loss to the horns hanging there forever.

It's been made clear. uTx will need to win every Big 12 game in spite of the refs. Feel bad for Sark. Looked to have a good squad that's getting fricked over this year.

Oh I know Tx has had favorable calls forever in conf. But that ended last year. And it still doesn’t excuse commish openly rooting against a conf team. I hate Tx and always will, but still want even games.

If Tx loses a game in conf that is disputed by a call, I can see Tx suing commish for costing them millions (depending what it cost them bowl wise). And they have the commish on record rooting against. And conf picks and vetts refs.

A year from now we'll be seeing BIG XII marketing campaigns like "Hola Amigos!" as they try to "expand their fanbase into Mexico".

It's a brilliant strategical initiative from the BIG XII.

I could almost guarantee you that if it were just you and Oklahoma St, this wouldn't happen.

Texas is just toxic.

Not a bad idea. Expand south to at least one Collegiate Mexican (American) football teams and get all of their viewers.

It would seem to me that if your statement is true, that would make texsa a popular scapegoat and the BIG XII commish lacks any true conviction wouldn't you say?

The entire B12 conference was beyond shitty to us when we left.
What do you expect?

Hell yeah! The tsip tears have been a joy to read this afternoon. And yes, the B12 openly blames Texas because they know that Oklahoma is just their yes man. The schools are thrilled the toxic turds are leaving, and they know Texas celebrated their "demise" when the announcement was made. There will be some bad feelings this year on the field. I expect a lot of personal fouls and flaring tempers.

Jokes on them. B12 survived and will be better without them ...

Can anybody blame him, those idiots in Austin tried to destroy that conference multiple times and their fans spent a lot of the last year laughing about how they’ve destroyed it, big 12 guys are all celebrating that that cancer is leaving

Outside of losing Oklahoma, which most big 12 fans are not happy about, most big 12 fans are very happy with how things turned out

Nebraska and TAMU both got fricked by the refs on their way out. I guess they're just toxic.
