sam wasn't being political and trying to further the gay cause he was trying to get a reality show.
Yeah, I can respect that though. It's the only reason he was even drafted.

Except for the fact that I believe Michael Sam did all of this for personal gain. Look at all of the money he's making off "coming out." Many gays have been in football before him and they never received money for coming out. It's more selfish than Manziel, I think. He should just say no to the shite offered to him if it really wasn't about the money.
Reality TV show, dancing with the stars, etc. He makes money off that shite for no particular reason.

Both are gay so it's a wash.

This thread is so retarded. You're comparing a really nice person to an extremely terrible person. It's like you're asking would you rather Drew Brees or Aaron Hernandez represent your school. So stupid.

Drew Brees didn't "come out" for personal gain.

Michael Sam not even a close call.

Michael Sam without question.
The only thing he ever did that bothered me was let the media push him to do that fake arse celebration with his boyfriend when he was drafted. Other than that he'd been nothing but class on and off the field.

what money? dude's net worth is estimated at around 100k. he got a lot of publicity, but all that came of that was an appearance on dancing with the stars, a show where the money won goes to charity. there were talks of a reality show at one time, but that never happened. Those talks were "put on hold" two years ago

But Michael Sam is a generally nice person by all accounts. He isn't a retarded, classless criminal like Johnny Manziel is, which is an obvious reason why it's dumb to even compare the two.

Manziel. For all his flaws, at least he's straight.

Johnny Manziel since he bangs hot women

Damn, this thread backfired.
You can make gay jokes about A&M cause we're like 30-40% straight, so it's still funny. Sam's 100% gay, so making fun of him for it is just mean. Understand the difference?

Sam would have had a great time at A&M

wtf would be wrong with Michael Sam repping your school? Was a great collegiate player, seems like a decent person
No disrespect to Michael Sam, but you are right - he probably is a decent person generally speaking..... with major major baggage. Has everyone forgotten his in-and-outs with the Alouettes? Dude was all over the map on whether or not he was going to play, then he completely bailed on the team that was giving him a shot. Doesn't seem like a decent person would do that to their employer.
