Thread proves Auburn is not yet a basketball school because their fans clearly have no clue how to evaluate talent. Fact; if Tremont had Jared's height he would be in the NBA this year as a 19 yr old

So Waters needs to be shorter to be in the league?

I think they’re similar. Waters has more volume because were are fewer options on his team last year, but he’s also younger and had a more consistent freshman season than Harper. They’re both very good though.

Harper takes a few too many bad shots for my liking but he is probably the better defender.

I think Waters is the better player but I would rather have Harper for what Tennessee needs out of the PG spot which is primarily defense and ability to take care of the ball and make open jump shots.

Pretty sure Harper is 6'0.. Tremont is 5'9. Harper is an efficient game manager for a really good Auburn team. But Tremont does things that not many college players can do, so unpredictable with basketball in hand; no defender has any clue what he's going to do. His Quickness on another level as well.

They are both listed as 5'11, I know Tremont is more like 5'9, no idea about Harper.

Harper wouldn’t touch 6 ft if he was on stilts.

Going by the numbers though, Tremont was slightly better as a freshman than Harper was as a sophomore. Probably why he was picked 1st team to Harper's 2nd team selection this year.

Tremont's PER was 21.5, which is great for a freshman.

Admittedly, very close though.

Steals are an awful way to judge defensive ability.
