Honestly, I think LSU's trajectory would have improved much sooner than Saban had Bo Rein not been killed.

The Ogre was the head coach of LSU's GOAT team. Now you can say what you want about what he had to work with, but he didn't screw it up.

He's also won 10 in 2 of those years, so besides your devotion to LSU, what's your point?

Yeah, maybe.

Joe Dean is a wild card there.

If you are happy with 10-4 then more power to you. Ten wins doesn’t mean nearly what it used to when teams were playing eleven or twelve games a year. So far, Kelly has one 3 loss season and two 4 loss seasons. But if you are happy with that then you will be much happier than the average LSU fan the next few seasons.

It comes down to whether you value conference championships more or consistently having 8-10 win seasons.

No it doesn’t. Only a fool would even consider this comparison. Archer took over one of the best run programs in America and quickly ran it down. Kelly took over a great brand that had been badly run down and resurrected it right away.

The year is 2086. The month is August. On the SECrant LSU fans lament how badly Ed Orgeron decimated their football program. They know though this is their year. They will finally have their roster put back together. They just know this season will result in another national championship, the first since 2019. They congratulate themselves on only taking 67 years to do it.

Six months later there is a thread demanding they fire their 11th coach since Coach O after once again going 8-4. They want a new coach even though deep down they believe it is all Coach O’a fault.

Things must be slow at the McD’s. Don’t you have some grease to go clean up?

Let me know when he takes over the most loaded roster in CFB, then manages to go 9-4 with 2 of those losses being to a horrible OU team and Vandy.

LSU fans just can’t help themselves from walking into the same punch over and over. Last season that same horrible Alabama team absolutely demolished LSU in Kelly’s third season, the one he said to judge him on, in front of a home crowd at Death Valley. The LSU team got run off the field and the LSU fans got run out of Tiger Stadium.

Yeah, everything seems great under Kelly.

That wasn't the point of my comment... Bo would have been their head coach in the 1979 season. I just thought their historical trajectory would have been improved sooner than Saban's arrival had Bo not been killed in a plane crash.

Vandy has more wins against Alabama at home in Nashville than LSU does at home against Alabama in Baton Rouge. Last season was the 13th time that Vandy beat Alabama in Nashville. LSU has only beat Alabama 10 times (out of 42 games!) in Baton Rouge.

The numbers don’t lie, Vandy football is more dangerous than LSU football.

I expect Alabama to score 42 against LSU this season for the third game in a row.

Lsu fans are the dumbest of the SEC rant. Trust me, I've been here for years.

You pay even more attention to LSU than I do, so I'll take your word for it.

1980. Cholly Mac retired after the 1979 season and Rein would have been the coach in 1980.
