I think an undefeated Miami that just beat their big rival on the road has a better case

yes, Auburn has only the one loss to last year's champion

but the Tigers looked shaky against Mercer & gave up 23 to the Rebal Sharks

discuss

Who would win on a neutral field? I'm taking Auburn, so I'd rank them higher.

Not saying Miami shouldn't be above us, they should, but

shows you didn't actually watch that game

1-3 Florida State? Color me not impressed.

I don’t care which is ranked higher.

I think Auburn is better, but I guess at this point in the season with resumes so varied Miami would need to be ranked higher based on being unbeaten.

I'll give you that. But Miami looked shaky against Toledo.

It was 35-3 at halftime and 41-10 going into the 4th quarter. They scored two TDs in the 4th against our 2nd and 3rd string defensive players.

I get that, but polls are more about optics

fwiw - looks like DSOR will be the best game in the SEC this year

It doesn't matter. If the barn can beat Georgia and Bama they will be in the top 4 at the end.

Our "signature" wins are against teams from Mississippi and Missouri. Sure, FSU is down but... yeah. Miami should currently be ranked higher.

You're telling me three straight blowouts against SEC teams doesn't offer good optics?

without a doubt

in fact, if they only lose one more and beat one of those; I would guess they end in the top 10

I think Auburn is better bet don't really care. If we keep winning, the polls will take care of us.

no

I am telling you that giving up 23 to Ole Miss is "bad optics" despite the fact that it was mostly "garbage points"

at least half of the coaches and a third of the AP voters only look at the final score

as to your point; the SEC is not getting the respect we have in years past & most coaches & writers see the conference as "down" (so do most SEC fans)

also - I think Auburn is a better team today than when the season started & will be even better by the time you play UGA

Bro, they're just teams, and shitty ones at that. Adding the SEC qualifier doesn't make the victories any more impressive. Your most impressive performance of the season was losing by 8 to the best team in the country.

Doesn’t matter. We beat UGA, then Bama, then UGA in the Sec Championship, then Bama in the semi-finals and then Clemson in the finals and we are NC. Crazy what it would take.
