We including redshirt freshmen?

If so, I'd like to put LG Colton Prater (true freshman) and C Erik McCoy (redshirt freshman) up for consideration from A&M's OL.

McCoy should be on there. I'm not sure what other freshman centers are out there, but I don't think any have been as good.

Greg Little is up there at LT

If you're including RS freshmen I would put Van Jefferson ahead of AJ Brown right now. He's being utilized a lot more than AJ, but that could change as Brown gets more acclimated.

Yeah LG Colton Prater has started 4/4 for Aggy. Our O Line as a whole is doing pretty good work.

OL -- Erik McCoy. Takes some talent to come into the SEC as a freshman and play center, not to mention come in and consistently grade out as well as he has.

Needs to put a little more zing on his shotgun snaps, but other than that I'd say he's nails.

Edit -- Farmer beat me to it -- posted it while I was typing.

While AJ Brown, DK Metcalf and Greg little are as good as any freshman anywhere, I'm sure there have been more productive guys at those spots. Little splits snaps and our reciever corps is so deep DK and AJ have been mostly redzone targets. I doubt any true frosh safety has been better than Myles Hartsfield though and CB jaylon jones has been good in his many reps. Benito Jobes has been excellent at DT

Tennessee's Baylen Buchanan at DB and Nigel Warrior at S could be considered. Tyler Byrd at WR may also emerge as a leader in this class.

Put this man on that list.

Kyle Davis hasn't been "best". He's been a nice surprise, but he hasn't been productive enough yet to warrant "best true freshman" WR in my opinion.

Just curious, what has he done this year? I know J. Simmons has been a monster on the D Line for us.

As usual, the most stacked spots are WR and DL.

Yeah Sosa is the best freshman defensive line man in the sec. Onky reason he doesn't start is because we got this thing called depth. He's unblockable

He was a top 10 recruit so it's not like it was out of the blue

After watching Arkansas Saturday night I'd think an unblockable defensive lineman would get quite a bit of playing time.
