Take Bowers as a Freshman over Pitts entire career. Bowers is way faster and never drops anything ever.

Washington is transferring to Alabama fwiw.

I love Washington and all, and this rumor would have terrified me 12 months ago. Today, especially after watching Arik and Delp ball out, I wouldn't even be mad. I'd rather it not be Alabama though. If he transfers, I hope it's to a non-contender like Oregon or LSU.

You’re okay with him at Oregon? Ok.

What’s insane is Washington has more upside than any tight end in college football right now. Dude can block like an offensive lineman and can run like a deer but hasn’t been healthy his entire career. If you watch his tape he mauls ppl blocking. I’ve watched him since HS and was pissed when UGA got him

I love him as an in-line blocker.

In an interview with a Georgia player (I forget which one) it was asked who the funniest player on the team was. He said Jordan Davis. When asked who the second funniest person is, he said Washington. Seems trite, but I have found during my many years on this earth that funny people tend to be pretty damn smart. So having a physical beast like Washington who is also intelligent is a luxury. I don't want him to leave, but with Bowers and now Delp/Arik showing out today, it just wouldn't be a big deal to me. Going to a rival would put a stink on it for me, but in general I wouldn't be mad. That's how blessed UGA is with TE's right now.

Matavao and Washington at TE for Oregon would be a problem. I wouldn’t want him at a team on my schedule, especially one with one of the highest composite talent rankings. That’s just me though.

In 2016, Iowa's tight end room included George Kittle, Noah Fant, and TJ Hockenson.
2001 Miami had both Jeremy Shockey and Kellen Winslow.

What would you say Bowers does better? He is a beast but Pitts looks like he was made on Madden create a player.

He’s faster. He’s a freak athletically.

He's faster then 4.40? Verified?

Did Pitts run a 4.4 flat?
I saw he ran a 4.44 verified time.
Bowers ran 4.5 out of high school. He looks faster to me.

do you have a 'plethora of stats' to back up this *claim* like the BASEvols fan - before losing to Tennessee Tech & Alabama this week?

How much he weighed in HS would factor in. If he's gained 30lbs that could slow him a little.
If he does run faster at the combine he'll be a top 5 pick.
