What could have been if only he’d have had Baker as his coach instead of that total imbecile…

re: Barion Brown's Transfer Rating

Don’t get caught up in the exact ranking. Transfer rankings in particular are all over the place.

Watch some of their film and read the scouting reports. We’re getting some absolute DAWGS right now.
Think of it as a one year rental with the idea that guys currently on roster will rotate in / be ready to play in ‘26.

Barion Brown to LSU - per Hayes

Title says it all.

ETA LINK
Get his brother in 2026 and hope he can come in + be like Dom.

There’s a recruiting angle for the thread, haha.

Shea confirmed too. Love this.

re: Shea Tidbits Article Summary

Appreciate the summary. We’ve got a lot of good options and good work being put in by Austin Thomas and the staff. Now it’s time to close some deals. Git ‘er done.
Indeed. And by no means am I hoping he doesn’t succeed. I’d LOVE to be proven wrong.

Getting Chester off of C is also going to do wonders for him. He was definitely overwhelmed with calling protections and just had missed assignments all over.

Putting him in a position where he’s an order taker, rather than order maker, will allow him to focus on his job rather than everyone else’s. I expect him to take a MASSIVE leap forward this offseason.
I agree and said something very similar regarding needing consistent reps for young guys yesterday in a different thread.

My point is I just don’t think Mubenga will get there. I could be completely wrong and hope I am if he’s the starter. I just don’t see him as the long term solution and would rather other young guys get those reps.

C - Moore/Echols G - Chester G - Mubinga T - Adams T - ?

IMO Mubenga shouldn’t be anywhere near the field. Let Chester, Curne, Solomon Thomas + a potential transfer fight for the G spots.

T should be Adams and Weston Davis, unless we take a transfer there too (Ory Williams and Ethan Calloway are the backups).

They need more reps than that. It's like bringing a guy up to MLB and he only gets an AB in blowouts or plays once a week... doesn't work. Guys need to play game-in, game-out, drive-in, and drive-out.

You also want to build their confidence - the unknown about if or when they're going to play doesn't exactly instill that.

but you can't recruit experience in HS recruiting

Right… but how do freshman and sophomores get experience without starting?

Unless we’re going to just start 5 transfers every year, we’re going to always be breaking in new guys.

Breaking in a new oline will be tough at Clemson.

They’ll be breaking in a new crop of DT’s (minus Peter Woods), potentially a couple linebackers and their top safety, so there’s going to be a lot of new faces for them too - in both the run and pass game.
Man, this went all doom and gloom really quickly. There's a lot of really young + talented guys we have that could (and IMO, should) be ready to play next season.

Tyree Adams/Weston Davis/Ethan Calloway/Ory Williams at T, Chester/Curne/Solomon Thomas at G, Echols at C

(my view, and I've said this other places, is Chester moves off of C + they slot Echols in there, which is what I've heard through folks that know Coen is where LSU views him)
